    Marine

Marine should win based on how they are playing as of late. Outside of the Possession loss they seem to be hitting stride on all aspects of their game. Dynamite is an improving club and has progressed as well but I don't see them beating Marine.

      U15 President's Cup

I know it's not State Cup, but I wanted to give a shout out to the fine Bridlemile U15G Black Magic team who won President's Cup today. Way to go!! On to Region IV in Medford. Way to represent Oregon!

Any comments on the semis today? With one going into pks and the other only 1-0, they sound like a couple of pretty close games.

          Ireland-Possession semi

was an awesome game to watch, in my opinion. 1-1 tie after OT, close shootout. In regulation, Ireland got one in early when (I think) #2 was left with 2 much time and space and she sent a beautiful shot high into the far corner.

Possession evened things up in the 2nd half, capitalizing on a bit of an Ireland defensive/GK breakdown. FCW had probably 3-5 more opportunities to score but didn't and Ireland had about that many on corner kicks in the 2nd half/OT.

Each keeper had a great save or two in the shootout, but sadly (2 me, anyway) Possession shot the tying PK just a tiny bit wide and that was the end of it. All in all, a very well played and hard fought game on both sides. I was really pleased to see FCW be able to give THUSC such a great game.

I wish Ireland the best of luck in the finals next week.

            Wow- Fun to watch

Just got back from watching Ireland and Possession. Great game and great drama. Maybe not the best soccer at times but some of the hardest effort I've seen in a couple of years.
Both teams and coaches laid it on the line for this one. Going to be some tired ladies tonight, everyone worked very hard including the ref's and who says soccer is not physical?
Possession gave them a run for the money but in the end Ireland had the PK's to advance.
