Ireland 3rd in bracket A? I agree that the most likely outcome in Bracket B is for Marine to come in at 1st, and I think that Sunderland and Possession are too close to call for 2nd.

OYSA says "1st and 2nd place advancing to QF's".. do they mean "semifinals"? Top 2 from each group move on only?

Sorry, I do not see that on the OYSA site.. I see, under "Brackets"... "Advancing to Quarter Final: 1st and 2nd place team(s) from each Bracket .

1st and 2nd from each bracket plus 4 wildcards = 6 teams in qf's?

math is not my strong suit. 1st and 2nd in each group plus 4 wildcards = 8.

8 of the 10 teams make the Qf's? That's sort of silly IMHO.

Ireland- Marine

I would say based on Irelands Las Vegas play they are ok and will win their bracket with LO or Rush in 2nd.
Marine should win the other bracket and Possession and Sunderland fight it out for #2.

At the end of the day Ireland is still the team to beat but Marine has improved and is dangerous. Can't see anyone else winning this year outside of those two.

Ireland over Corvallis

at least when we left near the end of the 2nd half. I think the score was 3-0 at that time. (Not rooting for either team, just stopped by to catch the 2nd half after watching the UO vs OSU scrimmage, which the Beavers won, 1-0). Corvallis looked much improved from when FCW played them earlier in winter league, and they played with great intensity. I think I heard the Ireland coach tell his girls. "They are out-working you!" but Ireland being Ireland, they capitalized on virtually every defensive breakdown to get the ball in the net. Best of luck to all who are playing tomorrow.
