Looks like Ireland might go undefeated in Oregon GU-15 Gold League.

Probably is unbeatable but in Possession's back-to-back contests with them this past weekend, game 1 was 0-0 at half, and both teams had several scoring opportunities. Some personnel, formation and strategy changes were made at half, and the outcome was a 1-0 win for Ireland.

Possession played them tough in the first game- even out playing them in the first half. Still not sure on the call to take away the goal but at the end of the day talent won out and by the end of the weekend Ireland demonstrated why it has won so many state cups and will most likely continue on that path. Ireland coaches and players made some good adjustments to counter Possessions effort and Sunday it showed in the 2-0 win. Good luck to both teams and hopefully they will meet again.

Tie?

It looks like Sunderland tied Ireland today? What?? Can someone give a game report please?

Sunny, windy day. Sunderland had more shots in the first half with the wind. Ireland had more in the second with the wind. Ireland rested a lot of their main players for most of the game. Sunderland played without three players but played one of their best games of the season.

Good game by the players of both teams.

It sounds like Sunderland played well. I know they sure gave Possession a game last weekend :) Its always great to be able to compete well with the best, and Ireland certainly seems to be that, year after year after year.

Marine wins against Ireland

Looks like Marine won 3-1 against Ireland today. Ireland's only goal coming from a PK.

Hard work

Hard work pays off. Ireland team had some opportunities, but the better team won today. Time of possession was clearly an advantage to the Marine team. Ireland definately needed a wake up call. Sunderland and the Marine sent them a message this weekend that their not the State Champs yet for 2010.
