FCSC 4 BSC 0
The Blackmagic came to play. The are nursing quite a few injuries but they never gave up. Goals were scored by #8 Kaveta with an assist to #9 Katya. #10 Bobbi scored with as assist by #4 Kadisha. An unassisted goal by Karla and the last goal socred by #00 Baylie with an assist to #2 Brynne.

BSC held FCSC scoreless for the second half.

Timbers 3 vs Bend 1

Girls play well from both teams, you just can't play a game with two top teams with a center ref only. Very poor game that should not have been play with only one.

Game

That was ridiculous. Two good teams, one center ref, who barely left the center line. The first Timbers goal was off a pk which even the Timbers coach said was bogus, and the second was from a player that was 10 feet offsides. It was a very good game between 2 good teams in the top league, ruined by the WA reffing association. This has happened too us alot in WA do they have a hard time finding refs. I don't think it was necessarly the refs fault, just that there were not enough.
Okay, I feel better now.

It was not a WYSA Ref. They are hired by OYSA and the whole league has been Short Refs since the season started.

Before you go tearing apart the Vancouver refs remember that it is the OYSA that assigns games. Most all of our games in Vancouver have been Oregon refs. Why? I don't know other than I've heard that OYSA doesn't call Vancouver refs for games.

Also, we have had only one game in Oregon with all three refs.

Good game this weekend we enjoyed the game.

Refs

Like I said in the above post I an not really blaming the ref. Though I know OYSA assigns the game, they then turn over that schedule to the reffing association and it is up to them to assign refs to that game. I understand every game should have three refs but if your going to short a game, classic would be a much better choice, because we all know how physical a gold game can get.

I believe that we all can commiserate with the reffing situation. The many refs who refuse to keep up with play disrespect all of the players' hard work. This is just one more reason that I take all of the Fall season scores with a grain of salt.

FWIW, Bend showed very well at a spotty Happy Valley Park on Saturday; very good skills and ball movement. We were lucky to get within a goal.
