What is your point? I am sure you can look at every club and level of play and find a bad apple.

No, the point is that the entire girls program is pretty much a farce. It is sad because im my opinion Mr. Allred the Director could care less about the girls side of club. Did the club get to big to fast, is it about the money, I do not know. The Mess-- You have coaches that are responsible for 4 to 5 teams and coaching their own chlds team. Then you have team managers with a lot of influence on ID selections and things like that. For example with the 06 team the two girls selected to the ID camp were the team managers child and a child that is not even on the 06 team..Every player on the team knows that was a farce, thus a great morale booster. Coaches that are never early or on time, different coaches at games and training sessions. Practices cancelled all of the time. My daughter is good friends with the a few of the girls from the team and it is really sad what they tell her. We were glad that we went to NCFC ECNL, but these poor kids do not know any better. They in my opinion are being abused by the club. So, the point is that you should avoid Wake FC girls until there are changes made, that is all

Yes, the club did get to big too fast....or at least too big for their britches. And yes the club is unorganized and could improve in a lot of areas. It is my understanding many on the 06 WFC GA team were former NCFC players who were on teams below ECNL, so lack of talent = lack of success. You can't expect a small, developing club like Wake FC to go whoop up on established clubs like Tophat or IMG. WFC can't turn into a juggenaut overnight....its a process that takes time. They will need to attract better players plain and simple. WFC's 08, 07 and 05 teams have been respectable in GA play.

I agree with most of what you said and would say this, if you are willing to allow your kid to get sht on for a few years and pay Allerds huge salary, then go for it.

Hey Guys, did you hear this, NC Fusion ECNL 7 Wake FC GA 0 CISC Regional League Team 3 Wake FC GA 1 Southern Soccer Showcase Wake FC girls 06 got slammed, boom ECNL and ECNL RL are both better leagues over the GA. Now that is a disgrace, and that was the Wake FC girls 05 team playing the NC Fusion girls 06 team

Wake FC entered a roster of mostly 06s, but also some guest 05s for that Southern Showcase. Obviously, throwing together a team of mixed ages didn't work out well for them. Enough harping about the 06 Wake FC GA team on this thread. You made your point, they are NOT GOOD.

what does this even mean? I guess you could say any team "could be a good team". fact is this team is currently a bad team. saying they have talent is all relative to their competition. compared to most of the GA teams they play, they do not have talent.

Lets give him a chance, but it seems that with all of the great women soccer players that have graduated in the triangle area like Molly Pathman and coaches like that, they could have gone American. I mean, Romania women and he has a shaky track record.

I mean he was born in Romania but relcated to the States at 10 years old. He was raised in Cary, NC where I believe his parents still live. So he's basically returning home.

What??!!?? Where do you come up with this stuff?? Guess you didn’t actually read his bio!

He just resigned as head coach from an NCAA D1 job to take the Wake FC position! He has also been head coach at Belmont Abbey and SC State, so it looks like his coaching resume is based in the states.

Seems like we are showing a bit of xenophobia there!

He has not accomplished much and he seems to move around a lot., why is that? Whatever, in soccer circles his reputation is crap, not always a good indicator. Coaching Modovas u15, Greneda, give me a break, this clowns coached all over the place and he is only in his early 40s.. He will be gone in a year, maybe 2. He resigned, he was about to get fired. Anyway, hoping for the best.
