This is got to be the biggest scam for the younger boys teams this past weekend. Many teams had to travel from out of state to play in this tournament. Yes, it rained, but to cancel all the games on Sunday was an injustice to all the teams. At least have a backup plan to play the games at other venues if you don't want to tear up the fields for this weekend's showcase. Many players had to raise funds for this tourney and not having to play all the games was a major disappointment. The CASL website says that all games were cancelled, but it's a shame that they can't even issue a formal apology to all the teams. We feel that this is a ripoff for our team and for all the teams that participated. At the very least, CASL should prorate and refund the fees or provide a credit to next year's tournament. I know for sure our team, as well as other teams that we had spoken to, will NOT be back next year or in future years. In business, if that is how you treat your customers, you will not survive in time.

CASL is very arrogant because of their name. But name can only go so far if they start ruining their reputation. If out-of-state teams stop coming to the Raleigh Shoot-Out, what would happen? This is a possibility if they continue to cancel games because of rain every year. At least have a backup plan, for goodness sake. Most teams have to travel from out-of-state and what they have done this past weekend could discourage other teams from participating. Word is out that this happens every year. If nothing is done to compensate the teams, many including my son's team will not be back. Players work tirelessly to raise enough funds for this trip and to end up playing two meaningless games is an injustice to these kids. CASL, if you want to be a national tournament, then be a class act. Do something to compensate for the loss. It's also a shame that there was no apology on their website. What a ripoff!

Raleigh Tornament
I'm agreed, at least they could made a cut and the top team of each group could play the final. Was very easy for CASL to made that decision because they do not have to spend $15000.00 per team,(thats what we spent), and for some of the parents was really difficult to get the money.
We as other teams from Florida won't come back.
By the way the refeeres were really bad, and I'm not saying that because we lost, we wont our two games.
