    The effects of concentrated hate

Every week — sometimes every day — new revelations emerge that affirm what we already know: Trump is a lazy, inept, bigot with a wounded ego where his heart should be, and a cash register for a conscience.

What matters isn’t this reality, but the fact that a rabid minority of our citizens have become inoculated against it. They live in a cultish bubble of partisan propaganda filled with protective buzz words and talking points, a hivemind fueled by rage, paranoia and shame. For decades, right-wing media demagogues have made billions of dollars exploiting their anguish.

And if anyone thinks that there haven't been consequences for listening to concentrated hate think again:

18/30 states that voted for Trump in 2016 saw an increase in suicide of 30% or more since 2000 (compared to a national average of 25%), while only 6/20 Clinton voting stated had a increase of 30% or more. Suicide rose again in 2017 and 2018 of which White Men comprised 69%.

In counties with higher than average rates of opioid use, 60% of the voters voted for Trump, compared to only 39% voting for Trump in places with below average rates. Drug overdose and opioid deaths rose during the first year of Trump's presidency from 63K in Obama's final year to 69K, then a small dip from 69k to 67k in 2018, before rising to a record 70,000 in 2019.

24/25 most obese states voted for Trump as did 21/22 most overweight white states.

While a proportionate 9/15 states with the highest prevalence of binge drinking voted for Trump, 17/19 states where binge drinkers drink the most also voted for Trump in 2016 and alcoholism is disproportionately killing more people in rural areas.

The areas of the country that most strongly voted for Trump had the highest increases in mortality over the past 35 years and the CDC found that in 2018, Life Expectancy for Uneducated White Males (Trump's strongest demographic) dropped for the third straight year.

^ many of those states are also some of the nation's poorest with the worst healthcare outcomes and lowest ranking school systems. They vote predominantly red. So in other words states filled with self-loathing continue to not vote in their best interests. Instead of paying attention to the issues and what others have to say, they fall for the cult of personality, hoping a shiny orange turd will make their lives better.

I'm sure he will consider that while he ponders his Nobel Peace Prize nomination

Nothing wrong with paying for a little T & A. The dude is epic.
Inherited money from his old man and parlayed that into banging strippers and porno women.
          You all are just jealous.

If he'd invested daddy's money in the stock market he'd be an actual billionaire many times over, instead of of barely a billionaire on paper with 100s of millions in debt to banks and foreign lenders.

I’ll remember you said that! Seems I can recall a 98% chance of a landslide Clinton victory! 😂

He is worth $400 million. He inherited inflation adjusted $800 million.

The brand damage he’s done hurts his tacky hotels. If Russian oligarchs call loans due on the red ink hotels he could be in big trouble.

Plus he will have huge legal bills after leaving office in a couple months. Criminal defense attorneys get big money. Don Jr will also face possibly incarceration.

...and he’s a Russian agent who colluded with Russia despite having zero evidence. 😂

Will Biden give him a pardon?

FBI said is he not a Russian agent. He and members of his team are what they call in the intelligence world useful idiots.

Trump has been in love with Putin's power for a long time.

Trump did so poorly in business deals that domestic banks would not lend him money. Much of the money for recent ventures has come from Russian oligarchs via DuetschBank. Big loan payments coming due.

You, the MSM, and members of Congress called him a Russian agent for years without any evidence. After the longest and most expensive waste of time investigation in recent history, all of you were made to look like fools. You will always own it. The of us sat back and laughed at you morons as you spent so much time and effort for only the largest collective set of blue balls known to man. In order to try to face, you're still trying to cling to anything Russia. I can't blame you. After looking so idiotic for so long, I'd look for something to hide behind too.
