Admitting they are a social science/engineering outfit.

Admitting they consider their audience to be stupid ("Public austerity measures, for example, are not simply about financial facts. Indeed, when presented merely as economic data, many people can neither identify with nor understand them.")

Admitting their campaign against Brexit (and conservative populism in general).

Admitting they are leftists engaged in a jihad against what they call "post truth politics" (as if politics just all of a sudden became a dishonest endeavor when they lost 2016).

Admits they are losing (otherwise what is the need for the desperate article?)

Wasnt there some jackars on here a couple years ago arguing that Snopes and others like them were objective and neutral? I think that is the same guy that said Trump wouldnt make it past thanksgiving about 3 thanksgivings ago.

They say in their announcement that they are turning to more emotive methods because "facts are far removed from people’s lived experiences".

Translation: "Our propaganda created by manipulating, misrepresenting, decontextualizing and lying through omission is not working, we need to try another less logical, more emotional approaches to fight anti-establishment populism."

Breitbart staying true to brand. Snopes didn't make an announcement, they published an article that contains nothing remotely shocking to anyone who took a psych course as an undergrad. A huge load of "duh, Captain Obvious" in the Snopes piece. A huge load of BS in the Breitbart spin. Read the original article and avoid Breitbart if you value your remaining brain cells.

When a leg is bent in an odd angle and bone is sticking out of the skin, you don't need to be a doctor to know something is wrong.
