I'm grateful every day I had parents who chose to have me and had the means to raise me to be a compassionate person. I can't imagine growing up unwanted, unloved, or impoverished because someone was forced to give birth to me because they had no choice.

I can’t imagine never getting a chance. I can’t imagine the pain of a loving family who can’t have children of their own desperately hoping and praying they can adopt an unwanted child to give them love and an opportunity that u so enjoyed. How can anyone take you seriously when you use the phrase post-delivery abortion? There is no such thing. You are referring to either hospice care for a terminally ill newborn or murder. A D&C in the first trimester is not synonymous legally, ethically, or morally with killing an infant. No Democrat is in favor of elective infanticide. It's pure fantasy on the far right. This push lead to the congressional Born Alive Act which would reenforce homicide charges against practitioners who would not deliver life saving aid to an infant “born alive” after a botched abortion. What a very sad statement. Go find the most troubled, perhaps homeless, seemingly hopeless person you can find. Ask them if they would like you to kill them and end a life that you (raised to be a compassionate person) would not be able to imagine living. Ask them if they wished they were never born. At that moment (in some cases after you wake up from being punched in the mouth) you will at least have a glimpse the value of life. Even in it's seemingly worst form. And a life that a baby would at least like to have a chance to experience. (You'll also realize that parent's perspectives aren't always perfect and sometimes grossly close minded when they never get outside of their close circles. Ask them if they ever truly have seen video of an abortion or have heard one described. Ask them why not? I challenge you to have the courage to watch this 6 minute video of a doctor testifying before congress about what an abortion entails. You have no understanding of what a D&X is, why they are performed, or how rare they are.

You cannot abort a baby after its first breath. That's not semantics, that's fact. Abortion literally means to terminate a pregnancy before delivery. So after birth abortion is not a thing. It doesn't exist.

Bullish it. Nothing else to call it. All they want is the right to choose, reasonable access to services (not one provider for an entire state) and not forcing women to carry to term a fetus that simply cannot survive because of a horrific diagnosis. My brothers family went through that nightmare and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. So called late term abortions are all for medical reasons, not because they changed their minds. Almost all abortions happen in the first 14 weeks.
