Here are a few things the Trump administration has done against Russia:
sold missile defense to Poland http://dailycaller.com/2017/07/06/tr...-versus-putin/
killed more than 200 Russian militants in Syria https://www.thedailybeast.com/report...n-syria-attack
expelled 60 Russian officers https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/us-e...ry?id=54013784
sold lethal arms to Ukraine http://thehill.com/policy/internatio...les-to-ukraine
sanctioned more people under the Magnitsky Act https://www.weeklystandard.com/jenna...-magnitsky-act
Trump’s entire Iran policy. From pulling out of the nuclear deal to repelling Iranian gunboats to pushing Iran out of Syria, Trump has been resolute in pushing back against Iran. This is a HUGE blow to Russian foreign policy and Russia’s interest in and alliance with Iran.
Oil. Trump has been a strong proponent in expanding American oil drilling (including ANWR). This is financially devastating to Russian economic interests.
The Trump administration has been the single most anti-Russian administration since the fall of the Soviet Union and the rise of Putin. By far. It’s not even close. But because Trump is perpetually playing the carrot/stick game, where he sometimes condemns and sometimes compliments terrible people (all depending on what’s most advantageous for his negotiating tactic in the given moment), Democrats have crafted this bull**** narrative about Trump being too nice to Putin.
It all comes back to the fact that the left is shallow. Instead of looking at concrete actions and actual results, all they care about is aesthetics. If you’re eloquent and “presidential” like Obama, you’re great - even if you perpetually kowtow to Putin. But if you’re tough as nails and are results-oriented, it doesn’t matter because by saying some nice things about Putin and Kim Jong Un, that makes you an evil authoritarian, just like they are! That’s leftism for you. All about appearance; substance be damned.
