1. I agree. If you are going to start Rodman, she probably belongs in the middle instead of AM. Rodman seems to be a more straight-forward runner and has difficulty shifting.
2-5. Basically agree. Even rusty, Lavelle is one of our best players and needs to be out there as much as possible.
6. Dunn definitely had a bad game, seems like she slipped and fell about 50 times. She also did some things really well, weird game for her.
7. I don't know if their work rate was better, but their spacing, shape and passing were lightyears beyond the US, especially in the first half.

9. To me, she holds on to the ball too long on most plays and runs into trouble. There are almost always good passes available that she either doesn't see or ignores.

I think the wind played a big factor last night for both teams. You could see how it affected the US's ability to pass long like they wanted in the first half and I don't think it was a coincidence that both teams played much better going with the wind.

Rodman and Smith were exposed last night. Under pressure, they had a hard time controlling the ball. Their touch was off. Morgan is a waste up there. Need to find another option.

I have to disagree with you on work rate. The Dutch were swarming and it rattled the US team. Unfortunately they couldn't sustain the pressure all game long. If the Dutch team only moved as well when they had the ball, this game wouldn't have been a contest. Lots of standing around and waiting to get the ball. The US team was completely different and moved around to create passing opportunities.

Completely agree with your Smith comment. She starts off the game play in the system but as it progresses, she wants to do it herself. She did the same thing in game 1 but Vietnam isn't the same caliber team as the Netherlands.
