You would think many of the Florida college coaches would be out scouting the ODP training sessions in Auburndale last and next weekend. ODP could provide a coaches lounge with free food and drinks.

UF has strong ties to the Region III ODP Camp in Alabama. Coach Becky traveled to the camp last year for 2 days of scouting. She spent an afternoon with my daughter's team talking about what is required for success in college. Daughter was very impressed with her.

It is great to see the college coaches rolling up their sleeves and being influential to the ODP players. More Florida college coaches need to get involved with training the players and scouting at ODP.

If you are a boy this is how ODP works. Your parents drive you to a state that no one would want to go in the middle of the summer to play soccer. They pay for gas and hotel. The boys get to play with other below average to slightly above average male soccer players. You get to play soccer with other team manager, coaches, club administators and kids whose dads paid a lot of money for private lessons to coaches who also are involved with ODP. You get to play ODP players from states that no one plays soccer in. The friendships you make last as long as the camp and that would be true for any camp of any kind. The friendships you make are not that many for you are a competitive athlete who is in competition with the others and everyone at that camp is already behind top FYSA players who see the bull of ODP and those players are behind the Academy players of whom are behind the overseas players.

Girls is different. But if you are a girl there are a ton of scholarships in golf, tennis, rowing, volleyball, softball, etc. Why because there is a federal law stating that for every male sports scholarship there has to be a female sports scholarships and I don't see any females playing NCCA football of which there could be up to 80 scholarships that need to be matched. Basically if you are breathing and can run without falling you can find a sport that can get you a scholarship if you are a girl any girl.

Nice try fool. This was about her playing ODP back in her youth. She was not playing ODP in the 80s when she was less than 10 years old. Even if it was just about her playing youth soccer, her youth soccer was over more years in the 90s than the 80s. Don't try to twist this so you can try to validate your incorrect statement.

The Emory and East Carolina coaches got a free trip to England and Germany to coach the 2000/01 teams. Not a bad gig.

Ex Fl Southern college coach Siggi, ex FAU coach Carrie, Tampa Univ coach Switalski, UF Caoch Vic have been working with the Florida ODP teams. Any others? They need to help keep ODP relevant and making positive changes to it.
