So by your logic it is the leadership of the other clubs that needs to change. Not that I agree but let's follow that argument..... where do you think the pressure to change comes from? It's members perhaps?
19 is around 10 times more than 2, correct?

But thanks for helping to make my point. OCYS sends 19 teams. Rush sent 23 teams to their own tournament. But OCYS didn't send enough teams. If they would have send 50 teams there would have been complaints that they were taking over the tournament. That is why my original post said there is nothing OCYS can do to make the other clubs happy. Whatever they do, it won't be good enough.

I agree that membership can help drive change. I disagree that the current issues are being driven by the rec teams as other seemed to suggest. And I've already said their needs to be give and take on both sides.

How many events has Rush had and you want a massive 19 teams. Did you know OC refused to let Rush use the fields last year for an event that brings in massive revenue to the county year after year. Rush went down to Austin Tindal and Osceola got those hotel dollars. You fail to recognize the problem. OC and Phil are massive D heads!!! That is the problem. When you open your opens you expect nothing in return.

You would have found something to complain about. I didn't say it would be reasonable.

If those players and parents are "blacklisting" this player, those parents and players are just as bad if not worse than the original mom. Shame on the club for letting players and parents make decisions. Unless of course this is the OC coach on here which would explain a lot as well.

An earlier poster had said if OCYS supported local tournaments, specifically Rush Champions Cup, then that would help end the boycott. Obviously, that isn't going to help solve the problem.

If you are attempting to run for office I would suggest a more relevant forum.
If you do not like our town than get / stay the F out
If you have a problem with a man who is a native and is doing whatever he can to make life better for our people then do something better or shut the F up
We love The Treasure Coast and all it has to offer and are sprout to be associated with people who care about building is up as opposed to people like you who waste time trying to break us down.
                Please just stop!

I hope my son plays in that program, I believe he is getting great training at OC and my kid is happy. I do not agree with everything but nothing is perfect and I have never seen a program that is however I am happy with OC and I see a lot of other families who are happy too.
Other clubs provide 4 days training, including SAQ. That by itself is double the value of what OCYS provides!

We have several teams in GCF this season. We started going back in the Spring.

I don't like when OCYS claims to be the only "professionally run" whatever either. I agree that is insulting to the other clubs.

I agree it has to start somewhere. But look at the Rush Champions Cup. OCYS sent 19 teams in 2013 to Rush's tournament, and Rush sent 2 teams to the OCYS tournament. That isn't encouraging.
If OCYS isn't meeting my needs, I will either make OCYS to leave my backyard or I will ensure my needs are met. Many of us did foolishly leave, not anymore. Actually it is my club, you are PAID to run it. If we can hire you, we can FIRE you!

There is not such a big competetion left at OCYS to show them what they lost!
Looks like you are feeling that loss now.

Do it RIGHT! Do it NOW!

The fact that you don't understand the "Wendy" reference shows you have no clue.

I think if you asked the average person around here, they would tell you he is a swindler.

Of course, if you are on the receiving end of his "generosity" you might feel differently.

He IS very approachable. If your kid can help his kid's team that is. Otherwise he is polite but aloof.

Wow. Looks like all the predictions of "things settling down after the CFK malcontents leave" were a little short of the mark. The Purple Clown Car is alive and well, and making new dissatisfied customers every day...

Hate to say "we told ya so", but...

I have a clue, maybe the club has grown past knowing every parent in the club. I am happy with the coaches that coach my kids and I hope she is too. To me it sounds like you are making an argument to convince me I don't know how to assess my own level of contentment or because I don't know every parent, I don't know anything, really Einstein?

Running a club and knowing all parents may have some logic for management/business.

But, knowing the players/kids and their individual needs for development, that is what is MOST important aspect of your mission. Is it very clear to you?

We have allowed our mayors and commissioners to support you so that we stand to gain, our community stands to gain. If our community kids do not get that expected benefit, rather you keep saying "LEAVE", let me ask you again, who needs to leave?

I don't run the club! You said because I don't know who a certain parent is that I don't have a clue! If you run a club, you need to get off this board and worry about your job.
