We pay roughly $200 per year at FC Florida, thanks to sponsors, and we train 4 days each week with our head coach...Thomas Rongen...former head coach of US U20 and U21...head coach of MLS DC United...won MLS Cup.
BUT...last year we had no coach and we wanted to ease into the new season...BUT we draw OCYS Purple 1 in our first weekend...ugh...so much for easing our way in.
We'll see.
Ask your coach to call OCYS office. they can help him to learn how 4 days can be cut to 2 days creatively and get far better "Professional" results. Don't let anybody know FC Florida is better than OCYS.
OCYS rocks! Go OCYS!!
How much training to do the purple teams get? I know that FCA all players have automatic 3 with a possible 4 if they so desire. Rush is the same, I believe. If purple teams are only getting 2 then it's no wonder there is no promotion from purple to DA or ECNL - those kids on purple are getting left behind their competition in the marketplace.
This! Very little upward mobility at OCYS. No real interest in player development. Would rather bring in other clubs developed players, offer the illusion of something special to the lower level teams while having them pay the bills.

I know of at least two boys coaches who are looking to have 3 per week, decisions are up to individual teams and coaches. That being said the club had really good boys results with 2 per week last year.
And several players have moved from lower levels to higher levels, including DA. Those who say otherwise are simply lying.

That is the dirty little secret of ECNL. Talk up the league and recruit players from other clubs that have developed the talent. No quality development or results happening at their own clubs (in Florida anyway).

Yup. Charge more, train less but tell a good story. Go ocys. Lol

Very funny. Our bigger fear is that OC will discover that a former MLS champion coach is coaching FC Florida and we are back to searching for a coach. :-)

Probably the sample of "LIES" as it is happening now at ESPN DWWS look like this:
Rank Team W L D GP PTS GF GA GD
1 Sports CIA 4 0 0 4 12 48 4 12
2 Santos Elite 3 1 0 4 9 26 15 6
3 BNC Revolution 3 1 0 4 9 15 11 4
4 OC Strikers 1 3 0 4 3 14 17 -3
5 Great Lakes Futsal 1 3 0 4 3 12 33 -8
6 Orlando City 0 4 0 4 0 15 50 -11

with such good results, did DA consider adopting that 2 days a week format?
Probably GB and CMs teams will definitely do that right??
