Do you want to know a real sports town? Look at Chicago, New York, Boston and Seattle. These are towns that love their teams. They support the ownership and the players. They don't always win but they always have fans. They always have people who want their teams to win.

What do we have in Orlando?
We can't get MLB. Huge fail!
    We can't get NFL. Joke!

So what do we get? We get a chance to build a MLS program. Who cares if soccer is the 4th sport in America. We don't have squat! Our NBA team is in the dictionary next to the definition of "Never was been". I would rather be the best MLS market than the worst NBA, NFL or MLB market.

We have diversity. We have great weather. We could make Orlando the best MLS story since the Galaxy.

But what do we have? A bunch of little bitches that want to vent on OC. Why don't all you girly-men GFY. You will never be happy because you live in the poverty of a loveless marriage and unrealized dream. Quit projecting your failures on our hometown team.

Or would you like to go back to the days of professional wrestling as the main sports attraction at the National Guard Armory.
I live in Tampa and I would gladly give you our Baseball team (talk about watching paint dry) and our Football team (will never go to a game again, overpriced thug gangstas) for your SSS exciting soccer team and your exciting basketball team (somewhat gangstas, but a better sport). Orlando City Lions will be the best story since Sporting KC actually, which is a perfect example, they built a state of the art, SSS (same builder) and the atmosphere at their games is second to none. Your not going to get that at the citrus stadium.

Oh and if you want a billionaire to take a chance, yes chance, risk, to invest millions into your market, create employment, further transform a downtown area into something more than just bars, then you have to put some skin in the game, as a city. Or you can just continue to cater to the poor minorities down there who are doing so much to attract tourists into the area. I am sure you are a Demoncat and just the thought of a %1 er profiting for the betterment of the city is just killing you. And as far as your greedy church owners, I say give them the original offer, twice what the market value was and eminent domain their asses. I am sure they will cash the check.

I don't make it personal and hold my own personal vendetta up as a pretend care for the general public. You should move.
Like mr Rawlins said. " the quality of life will better with a stadium" the poor folks living by the stadium will become rich over night.

Win or accept the fact that you are nothing more than you run of the mill average Orlando Youth Soccer Club.

You losers are legends in your own minds. SHOW US THE TROPHY!
So this is your new thing, telling over and over how FKK should be acknowledging Maitland on their website for players passes, is that really where you have sunk to. Again, did OC thank CFK and Rush at their press conference for the scholarships that they got for your kids. Without either club you wouldn't have DA or ECNL, your welcome.

I believe the City already went the Eminent Domain route and failed. It's their property, they can do what they want with it- they aren't required to sell just because you and a bunch of other 'fans' want to paint your blubber purple and throw smoke bombs.

Phil will control naming and advertising. Phil will get parking revenue and luxury box rental revenue, I'm sure. Phil will no doubt control what event happens in "his" stadium, on "his" turf.

watch what happens in the next months and years, as an increasing number of costs and a decreasing amount of revenue flows to Orlando in association with this project.

Replacing a house of worship to the LORD for Purple smoke, chanting and drunken stupidity.

We are living in truly scary times for anyone to think this is right!

One can assume if Orlando City Played home matches in the newly renovated citrus bowl that Phil would not get his sweet heart deal. The Citrus Commission would have something to say about that.

                        Phil must own Buddy?

                            Quality of life my *****......

This stadium deal has nothing to do with quality of life. It is about quantity.

The quantitative value of the Ocity MLS franchise is what it is about. The value of the franchise is what Phil is focused on. Professional sports franchises have a small annual return, but a large return when sold. Without a soccer dedicated stadium, and the ancillary cash flows from it, the Ocity franchise/brand is worth significantly less than estimated. It is about money and the taxpayers are subsidizing the deal. The public trust is being used to enrich a private business.

I've thought Buddy was in Phil's pocket all along. Buddy likes the free "fact finding trips" and private jets. He's sure to have his own luxury box and parking up front. Maybe a nice consulting gig after he leaves office.

Spot on. It's just a 'value add" play to enhance Phil's investment.
