Talking soccer is the worst kind of tripe, with anonymous cowards posting crap on a daily basis. You constantly want to find something to tear another club, person and more often than not a child unfortunately than not. I think most people realize who is posting what about who with the IP address. We know who hates who and so on, and whether I agree or not doe at matter. I just wish you all could see how transperent you are with your typing and know that whether you are high school coach, club coach or regular guy, you should be setting a better example that typing on here and I should be a better example than to read it.

I have not posted in months because my son has really not been in the mix of things on this team. I refrained to post because I did not want to say negative things towards his team and coach and I will still adhere to that. The bottom line in my opinion is that this team was not battle tested at all leading up to state cup. Indeed they sported a very good record on paper but the quality of the opponents was sub par. Watch the NCAA basketball tourney. The mid majors might have great records going into the tournament but the teams that play the quality opponents throughout the year usually make the Final Four. OC u15 Purple has a lot of talent.....you cannot win on talent alone.

is DA tryouts already pre-fixed?

If there is talent on the team the team will break up as the better kids will be playing DA.

I also always laugh as the arguments on this site are always 1) complaining about not winning or 2) complaining about not developing. In youth soccer it is not about only wins/losses, but development. Are these kids getting better? If the answer is no then there is a problem with coaching. Just because they lose does not mean failure.

How can there be better kids when they already fall out in first round of State cup/!!!
If somebody should make it to DA, that should come from their white team, because there must be some champion minded players who took the team to 2nd round of state cup.

And then there is Rush U-15 team who can qualify to DA as a complete team by itself.
And then, US Soccer does have public funding/subsidies and hence all other players from other clubs have to get equal opportunity. Do not believe what GB, ML and others have been promising you, they will soon pay a price for their manipulations!!!

First off ... GB was and still is a minority owner of OC the pro team. He hired himself as he was always going to be with OCYS, wherever that was. Secondly, "Super Y to recruit coaches under the US Club" is wrong as Super Y is USL and not US Club.

Organic growth or development model isn't anyone. Youth soccer is a recruiting sport. Hopefully building a large club with resources will change that but right now no one is developing the talent they have at the top teams. Most have come from somewhere else.

Just like the professionals do.

I agree the coach needs to take most of the blame for not having the team prepared but this is not the same team as last year. Very few returning players with the spots filled from last years white team and FCA players who did not make DA. Talent level was down this year and coaching was horrible.
