OCYS does the same kind of stuff so spare me. Obviously the truth is hard to find on TS but most everybody spins things to make their club look better at another club's expense. Question is there even a hint of truth in ECNL being pulled from OCYS and I think we all know that over the last two years things could have been done better and that results are sub par.

^^^ this is what I love about the Purple. They can't help but to insult everyone around them, even while they claim to be a Club that wants to serve all of Orlando. Their true nature is revealed every time.

And the Coalition claims that they want to serve all of Central Florida. As their website says, "Proud to have members who have served the youth of Central Florida for more than 40 years." But they want to prevent OC from implementing free soccer programs for underprivileged kids in Orange County, even if those programs are conducted at the local schools. The Coalition says, "These programs, if implemented, should be held on school grounds and existing clubs within 15 miles of the schools should be given the opportunity to provide these programs." Of course, the clubs in the Coalition would provide the programs (but only if someone will pay them for it.) What happened to all of your righteous indignation from last summer, when you accused OC of trying to prevent kids from playing soccer? The Coalition did the same thing, to kids who have fewer resources to play soccer somewhere else. But those aren’t your kids, so they don’t matter.

You accuse OC of lying, but the Coalition distorted almost every fact in OC's original proposal (the number of fields, the days they were requesting, the times, the % of use, the impact on the other clubs, the existing fields, etc).

You accuse OC of insulting everyone around them, but there are plenty of insults being made by both sides. Did you ever read the beat down threads?

More of the same tired propaganda from the losing side of a dispute. Your plan was discovered, ten clubs banded together to make sure the Commissioners knew the truth. The Commissioners pushed back and Phil retreated.

The coalition clubs believed that thwarting OCYS' transparent attempt to monopolize fields was in the best interest of all. They represent about 7x the membership of the Clown Car. They banded together and WON. you can keep picking the scab as long as you like....

Create doubt about OCYS' ability to retain ECNL, so that good players won't try-out for ECNL and the teams will not be as strong as they could be, in the hope that ECNL will be pulled from OCYS (and maybe given to their club).

So, I guess the only people in central Florida who have an interest in the fate of ECNL are at FKK? C'mon. Why is it that every negative thing posted about Orlando city is assumed to be by someone from a rival who OC thinks is insignificant and unworthy of consideration?

Not only does OC have ECNL but they have a multi-year contract so it is good next year and several more after. With MLS coming in 2015, OC will also be part of the NWSL expansion in 2016. The goal is to have ECNL fully funded, like the DA, before the 2016 season.

The OP is the original FKK Troll that posted AH and DT were being fired and replaced by Brazilian coaches. I am happy to report AH and DT are alive and well and coaching at SSC several months after these rumors were started.

If you would like your daughter to play in CDL which has lost teams to FPL and FSPL, then go ahead and check out FKK. If your daughter shows real talent and you would like her to play against the best of the best, then have her check out OC ECNL. If they are as poor as FKK claims, she should have no trouble making the team and playing quality minutes in front of 600 college coaches.

The bottom line is there is no harm in trying-out for both clubs. Many did it last year and, ultimately, you go where the best fit is for your daughter. To be clear, FKK will not be playing in FPL, FSPL, R3PL or NPL next year. If you go there, you will play CDL.

Those are the facts. The choice is yours to make.

Just let those who believe all this gossip believe it if they are that stupid. There are still people that believe that the DA is on probation because they saw it here on TS, and there was never any truth to that what so ever. It's a total waste of time to come on here and argue with people over something that has no truth to it.

And exactly what did you win? Please inform us how the coalition "won" anything here. What was achieved?

The answer is nothing. Nothing was achieved. The stadium is still being built, the MLS team is still coming to Orlando, OC will still provide soccer to poor children as agreed to in the proposed stadium funding plan.

The coalition will do nothing. They have done nothing for a month now. No more webpages, no press releases, no angry petitions. They think they have won something so they are doing nothing.

The truth is that Phil is a lot smarter than a bunch of self-entitled soccer dads and their myopic club coaches. He simply said, "OK, you want to help grow soccer? You want to help those less fortunate by providing free soccer programming? Then the field is all yours."

You see Phil knows these clubs won't step up and play the larger role of growing soccer. They are all in it for the interests of their club only. That does not include providing free soccer to kids who will never afford to be members of their pay-to-play club.

Those who have been around pro sports know that each team takes the responsibility to do what the local clubs can't afford to do. They have players make appearances at schools and conduct free clinics in city parks. They provide free tickets to boys and girls clubs and they donate equipment to schools and leagues. The Magic do it. The Bucs do it. The Marlins do it.

So it would be wise for the coalition to either step up or shut up. With each passing day of inactivity they are showing the commission what whiny little brats they are and just making the case for Phil.
