Here's the reality, It is easy to get kids if you require your own club to register for an id event.

Bet on it that there are more kids from outside the club that show up for FKK's ID event than all kids that showed up for OCYS's ID event. Reality is people recognize that HM has the know how to help get kids to college. Maybe he gets too much credit but the showing this weekend at FKK by both players and college couches is because he is respected in the soccer community. Yes he has his detractors but I'm convinced college coaches trust his eye for talent and could care less about ugly soccer politics in Orlando.

Always there to criticize aren't you. The facts are crystal clear. Many girls from outside club, camp registration was cut off at 100 and top quality coaches attending. Say what you want and take your kid where you want, however the fruits of your choices will be undeniable in a couple of years. Good luck at OC.

Soccer politics is best played by fkk. My son played for hue so I know what a good coach he wasn't. However he promotes himself well. And any one can promote a good player. How did our kids make it out to good colleges before hue came to town?

FKK closing in on 1,000 kids in club after 160 days of operation.

160 days? FKK started on 9/22/2013? Then why does the FKK Facebook page say "It all begins May 1st, 2013?"

I'm not saying it wouldn't be impressive for FKK to have 1,000 kids already. My point is that if you can't get a simple fact correct, it makes me doubt whether the rest of your post is correct. Your 160 days isn't even close to the truth. How far off is the 1,000?

Not with FKK or OCYS yet, but considering both for next year on the girls side. I'm sure the FKK college ID camp will be better run and more successful than OCYS's recent event -- no contest. FKK seems to be the better run club (at least the girls youth program), but FKK does not have ECNL and, for college aspirations, HM's opinion of a player seems to be the single most important factor. A difficult choice with pros and cons on each side.

The real shame is OCYS, ECNL and HM were, for a short time, at the same club. I don't want to revisit the whole OCYS - HM split, but the real losers were and continue to be the talented female players in central FL who are at different clubs instead of playing together. For many of us, tryouts and club selection will be yet another difficult situation.

So, why would "HMs opinion of a player" be a concern if your player is among the best and willing to work hard? Seems to me if you look at results side by side, quite a few of the best players chose to join FKK. They ended up going to a lot of diverse schools inside and outside Florida.

OCYS, with ECNL, also had some good players- but didn't seem to quite achieve what one would expect from a club with the ECNL advantage.

So maybe the message is for the very best players to choose the club that gets the best results...

The message is FKK has no boys teams and are using 3 remaining teams being the U18 who graduate, U17 and U14 to try convince us on talking soccer that they have talent. Not one region cup challenger which means no younger teams and a thin coaching staff with coaches coaching 5 teams. When you question their coaches ability and player depth they all of a sudden become a community club and then you ask what the hell does that mean. Our talking soccer iq may not be the highest but give some credit plueeze.

Thanks Greg for your insight. Fact is the FKK boys program will promote the boys that want to play at the next level and work hard. Period. DA is an excellent program but fact is the boys coaches at FKK are much better than even the DA coaches at OC. Let's compare. Paul, no experience at all with kids, Marcos, well he is an excellent goalie trainer, lol, Mark well he could not even win a state cup game with a girls team. Just look at his record last year. Now compare that to FKK staff with Disney Showcase, CASL, State Cup etc, etc, etc. Just keep on winning and promoting players to the next level. Joe Avallone has promoted more players to the MLS than Adrian ever will!

I can tell you what "community club" means. It means the coaches, the staff and the Directors have roots and ties in the community, rather than being here on a visa. It means they know your kid and care about him/her as a player, rather than as a potential future contract to sell. It also means they're accessible, rather than taking an attitude of "drop your kids at practice and piss off"...

The fact that all if my post are being credited to the coaching staff at OC is making my belly hurt with laughter. I am a parent who remembers when hue came to town and had us all thinking we need to get rid of home town coaches and have new blood come into town. Well that is exactly what happened. But hue isn't running it so now he has all those coaches believing they are the community club that he was trying to get rid of 2 years ago. That is why I read this thread with such humor. I think you coaches all need to relax and stop tearing each other apart just for your tiny paycheck.
