Your kidding right? My daughter has been to the ID Camp at UF twice and it cost me $150 only 1 nights stay and looks from a school she is interested in. The reason going to this camp was because OC had over 12 womens coaches coming, when only 2 show up thats a problem even if it only cost $25 bucks. Remeber a few of us came 3 hrs away and had other expenses.

It's exposure, and we do it better than anyone around. Not everyone wants their kid to play at UF. OCYS is reaching out to players who may be suitable for other schools like the ones that were there.

Actually I'm not, and I could care less if the 2 Clubs on here kill each other. I drove 3 hrs to come to this camp. I never said Stetson and St. Leo were bad schools. As a matter of fact, I asked my daughter after the morning session how did she like the coaches and she liked both of them. The St. Leo coach gave her several good comments while I was watching. However we didn't come for those 2 schools we came for 2 or 3 other schools you had listed. One more thing it wasn't UCF or FSU. No problem I have already contacted my Bank to reverse the $125 charge.

The OCYS coaches are working very hard to try and recruit the best players from all central Florida teams to come over to their team, and a lot of current "loyal" players will not be on the roster next year. Don't be surprised when you get a notice that your child might be on the "B" or "C" team next season. Its about results, and if there is a stellar player that can replace a child and elevate the team, OCYS will immediately replace one for another. So much for developing a player, right?, replace one with another, send one 'down' to a lower level for playing time.

BUT, on the flip side, why not try and recruit other team players? They are better than what OCYS has at specific positions. Winning state cups and ECNL trophies are really what it is all about. MLS brings more pressures and mandates. Who can blame them?

My kid is one that they want really bad. Their promises and comments they make about current players are what make me critical of them. I will stay where I'm at thank you.

I will explain it in a very simple way. OC has no clue. The U13 girls and parents should be ashamed for not showing up to get their medals. Are dinner reservation more important? I saw an OC mom jump up when the FCA girl hit the OC keeper. You would have thought that the OC keeper was stabbed. Hello......she was outside the box. No intent to injure but a 50/50 ball. No I'm not. You pretentious whiners should appreciate that we even allow your players to train at SSC. as a DA/ECNL club, we are by definition a more professional organization. We were chosen to get those designations for a reason. Our coaching staff is making connections for the kids to play at the next level right here in Florida. If that's not good enough for you, don't participate. We'll be fine without you.
