Clubs dont produce players. Only Coaches with professional knowledge that can communicate and know how to teach the tactical and individual techniques.

Most of you dont know jack squat about developing players. Its more a business then a development envrionment for the players.

FKK people know ECNL is great. That is why they chose to play ECNL last year.

The problem was that we were not comfortable with the foreseen changes and had no clue what to expect this year. So instead of being the guinea pig again with all new coaches (one of which is good) and the club NOT knowing what to do still we jumped shipped for what we felt was more stable.

How is that so bad for our girls?????????

Yes there are some crazies out there on BOTH sides. Unfortunately BOTH sides of the crazy can't shut up and leave it alone already. We all chose our paths so we need to accept them for what they are.

Support your club and your kids and STOP this bickering. It makes us ALL look like idiots when most are just trying to move on and except our decisions and work with them.

Not rocket science - just a lot of bitter people that can't let is go.

Good post and I agree with most of it. It has become that the idiots on both sides are few who just live on TS. Most of us are still very respectful of each other and our daughters.

Where I differ is the number of good ECNL coaches. All of them have been great and have a history of winning at regional level. I have not complaints. Also, the communication has been great so I think many of the FKK complaints have been addressed. Notice there have been no complaints about OC from the ECNL parents this year. We did not drink the kool-aid. We just understand what is going on because we have a good dialogue with the Director and coaches.

Is corporate soccer killing Orlando?

Between FPS and OC could these guys doing anything worse in orlando? Seems they are now working together to hinder the growth and development of the entire city. I sure hope the RUSH and FKK survive so that kids have options in the city of orlando.

Whatever it is that is going on youth soccer in Central Florida has gotten worse over the last 2 years. Maybe it is because of Orlando City trying to get a little too greedy. I don't know. I do know that Austin chased them out of town.

Yes, the simple truth and reality on both boys and girls side at OC is nobody can develop players. Yes GB and CM can win games in the younger age groups. They work the kids hard and get them to play soccer. They focus on the team and winning and not the players. They have never and will never produce a player past puberty. Look at at what OC has on the older side on both the boys and girls side. Start with ECNL and Academy. ECNL we don't need to discuss, they are just bad. Academy has started the year off and they have 1 win and 1 loss on the older side. They were very bad last year and will get worse this year. Both will finish out of the playoff hunt and the players will again suffer. The younger team will be ok but as they mature they again will get killed. This goes right back to the long term plan and vision of OC. They are set up to fail. Last but not least look at the wonderful FPL teams. They are 2nd tier teams in a good league.

Prediction in the spring. The boys on the older DA team get tired of losing and all quit. Some of the boys on the Purple teams will be so happy to move up. They will continue to lose and will not have enough players to finish the year. The entire 18 team is graduating. The 15/16 team will all have to move up. This creates a big problem as they will get killed playing in an older division when they are much younger. This then creates a hole at the 15/16 age group which creates the same problem all over again. OC does not have the player, will not ever have the players and this will reult in a cycle of losing and unhappy people.


So as OC continues to lose, the kids continue to not develop and the parents stop drinking the Purple Kool aid, what will happen? Well FCA is going to go out of business so they will get some of those kids. Rush is actually going to grow as RG is doing a good job staying away from the issues at OC and FKK is off playing soccer now that the charges were dropped verse HM.

What will happen? Will parents figure it out? Will the coaches at OC find new jobs? CM is looking, AH is looking, LH is looking, ML and PS are stuck and could not get a job anywhere.

This is the best post I have seen in a long time. It is right on the money and the future is not good for OC youth. If it is to be fixed they will have to adjust all the teams and the current kids will suffer in the short term for the other kids to do well in the long team. If no changes are made this will go on and on and on. All you have to do is look at the win loss record to see that this is very accurate. Look at PS this year, look at ML last year, watch SM and MM in the DA this year. All of ECNL is losing and the Purple teams are horrible.

What is hurting soccer in Orlando is all the fighting and hostility. It has nothing to do with corporate soccer, big club, little club. Look anywhere in this country and you can find successful clubs of all sizes. Seems like everywhere else it is done for the kids, not the parents ego's like in Florida. Not just Orlando, but Florida as a whole. Example, every post on TS quickly degenerates into antagonizing hateful responses. Just look at the intent of this threat, do generate more hostility toward larger clubs. Now, go ahead and bash on me. Point proven.

Austin was united. Orlando is not united enough to keep corporate soccer out. OC knows this and exploits this weakness
