Since the 2005 season, MLS has expanded by eight new clubs.

Today there are 19 MLS franchises.

Since 2002 how many MLS franchises have failed? Answer: 0.

mindless? Hardly- I've actually READ the so-called "impact study" paid for and presented by your Pied Piper. Something you have NOT done, and if you did would have difficulty comprehending beyond the pretty photos. It's not my responsibility to prove a negative. It's OC's responsibility to make a real case for the tax dollars they covet.

If it was really worht it- if it really had the big Return on Investment they claim, it would be easy to raise the money and build it themselves. Phil and Brazil aren't altruistically sharing profit- they're sharing RISK, and by pushing RISK onto the city and taxpayers, they mitigate their own.

No wories, friend- no need to tax your faculties any further with things you obviously don't comprehend. Just tune up your drum and stock up on smoke bombs and enjoy the Bread and Circuses with 8,000 like minded lemmings.

On Thursday afternoon, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that negotiations between Blank and the league “accelerated” when the Falcons received approval for the new stadium, which will be 70-80 percent privately financed.

Hmm..."70-80 percent privately financed" means 20% to 30% public financing.

Well I'll be darned...how about that?

Florida isn't really known for supporting their pro teams, especially when the team isn't producing. Lets se how many actually go to the games when they have to pay for them.

These teams are surviving, but most are not being successful. There is a lot of money for these teams from TV deals with the leagues that help keep them going. If you look at numbers, the MLS can't get people to turn on their TV's to watch a game so therefore the TV revenue has stayed flat over the years.

                    NFL TV Revenue $9 Billion
                    MLB TV Revenue $7.5 Billion
                    NBA TV Revenue $5 Billion
                    NHL TV Revenue $3.3 Billion
                    MLS TV Revenue $27 Million

I am sure that Miami is really happy that they spent $500 Million in public funds on a new stadium so that 1,000 more people(average this year) could come watch games. It will cost the tax payers $2.5 billion when all of the interest is added up.

"Florida Governor Charlie Crist and Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina were in favor of public funding, saying the project would create jobs and be a "tremendous economic engine for a community."

Boy that sounds familiar, ask them now if it was worth the $2.5 billion they put the public on the hook for. I would say that they don't think so now since the Miami mayor and commissioners that voted for this either got recalled like the mayor or voted out the next term.

They are also not building a soccer specific stadium like we have been told we have to have, how about that.

FKK looks forward to MLS as all soccer fans do we just do not have our noses dug in so deep into the backside of OC grand master. FKK has a goal of doing nothing more then growing the best youth club in Florida. 1/10th of 1 percent will play professional soccer and less then that percent will even earn enough money to live. FKK knows the college market better then anyone else in Orlando and the proof is available if you open your eye but know could you with your neck stuck in a little hole.

That's because, unlike Orlando, Atlanta has a pro football team to share its stadium, I f you read the article closely, you would have noted the satdium in Atlanta will be designed with a retractable roof that, when closed, will make for a smaller seating soccer atmosphere, which is what MLS desires.

Really? Show us the proof about the number of male soccer players CFK/FKK has placed in the collegiate ranks.
