Top 20 clubs in America do not have a professional club above them.

CASL, Dallas Texans, Solar, Sol Cal, PDA New Jersey,

    should we name more

      Pros and Cons

      Pros

OCYS is doubling up on coaches, I've noticed two coaches in many practices. Hopefully they are doing this to have a development plan for new coaches

OCYS seems to be getting the point that they have to teach kids had to kick in goals not just pass the ball.

      Cons

OCYS is still not encouraging kids to be creative with the ball. You can't have possession without skills.

OCYS is still not about teaching individual skills, all about team skills. End up with a bunch of passing robots

Not with OCYS, but this is so true. I have seen so many games with OC teams where they pass wonderfully in their half of the field, but never advance the ball.

Name all you want- and you can continue to live under the delusion that your (semi) "professional club" means anything at all to the operations of your youth club. Of course you DO get the benefit of helping to inflate corwd estimates at the games through the imposed season ticket system.

Are you claiming somehow that OCYS is on par with those other clubs because you have a semi-pro team weraing a similar jersey? You can't be serious. That's the most bizarre assertion I've seen on this site.

I guess that's the new propaganda line from the marketing department: "Those other clubs may dominate youth soccer in America and churn out D1 prospects and USNT players year after year, but WE have the PATCH, which makes up for all that other stuff because we're 'professionals'!!"

            So amusing.

Is that 42 of 96 that have declined?

That 96 is not even accurate. That's just total teams. Remove the ones that are not accepted (bailed out and going somewhere else). And it's pretty ugly

With OCYS and this is very true. I've seen kids that used to shoot effectively from anywhere and now won't take the shot, but look to pass it off or pass it back.

Still the best soccer I have seen by a mile. Sounds better than 11 dribbling fools who can't get to goal.

I asked our coach when he was going to use real people for our kids to play against. He put the red fake men up and we do this every practice. I'm afraid my U14 son is learning to play like a robot. OC needs to fix the coach.

You people are so ridiculous. Is that the best defense you've got is they are making robots? Well sign my kid up for robot school because if this is the U13 team from last year, it must be working. Those kids learned to play as a team and still got noticed as individuals. Even the best players in the world pass the ball.

Noticed as individuals? Don't think so. That was a robot team as much as any in OC.

That was GB team. Always scrimmaged against the "red men". Funny, when one fell over and toward player, he froze. Couldn't think of anything to do. I doubt any players were recognized as individuals as all 11 had to play as GB.

Wow, what? You obviously have a personal issue but it was one of the best teams to watch. I guess only time will tell who is picked as individuals. If he making robots then I want my kid to be a robot too!
