Between 400+ premiere players escaping the Lyin' and rec players opting for other clubs, it might be MORE than 750.
The reporting in The Sentinel makes it crystal clear that parts of the intitial deal and future costs for the stadium will rquire tax dollars.

ECNL Results
U17
The U17s responded well to a tough opening day loss to GSA, scoring three goals against a tough Atlanta Fire side. The Lions created an abundance of chances in the first half to put the game out of sight, but allowed the Fire back into the match by not capitalizing on those opportunities. Orlando played great soccer but came up short 4-3, after missing several clear-cut chances. Maddie Sketteberg notched her first brace for the Lions
FUNNY HOW THE SPIN MACHINE DONT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT HOW EMBARRASSING THEIR 12-0 LOST, JUST THEY RESPONDED WELL.....OUCHHH.

The Tax dollars are NOT from anyone's paycheck! It is already in the account from tourist resort tax dollars from Hotel stays. Its from the percentage of the resort fees that hotel rooms charge. The money is already in escrow and will NOT coast any locals money or income tax dollars.
Cant anyone keep this website post to factual information????
The tax dollars that you are talking about are only a small portion of the overall building of the stadium. TDT dollars only would account for $20 million of an overall $115 million stadium. The team is willing to put in $30 million, where do you think the rest is coming from. Lets see $20 million that the city of Orlando tax payers have already put into it in land purchases, $35 million that the team is going back to the state next year to try to get that they weren't able to get this year. The rest is going to come from naming rights to the stadium which the tax payers should own, and revenues from a tax on ticket purchases to the games, also money that should be going to tax payers since we are footing the majority of the stadium. The money in the TDT fund may not be out of my pocket our your pocket, but it is still public funds that should not be used for private interest.

But the point was the increase in attendance, not the funding.
Duh.

As you stated, "very many people supporting this". Not nearly enough people in opposition.
This stadium WILL be approved by local governments (sorry fkk whiners).

I actually did some research on the team that you picked, and found out some good facts. They are using a stadium that was already built and now that they want a new stadium built the people are saying no to them. This is no different than here in Orlando except that they are already in the MLS with a good number of fans attending games, and yet they still can't get a new stadium approved.

New York City FC was just awarded a team with no deals on a soccer specific stadium. It was talked about that they would build one, but they were awarded a team without even having a piece of land bought or a location yet for the stadium. The league announced that the club would "continue to review other potential sites"

I'm all for MLS in Orlando, but I certainly don't think money needs to be spent on building a soccer specific stadium. Funding has already been approved to renovate the Citrus Bowl. Just put some more money into that project. In fact it was discussed at one time that was what they were going to do and they were just going to modify the Citrus Bowl to make is more "soccer" friendly and a better atmosphere for TV and TV viewing friendly, etc.
What a waste of money to build another big piece of concrete in Orlando, when one already exists.
