You are such a liar. He has not even been around. The club has been asking him to come back every single day. He has a business to run and was building a house that needed full time attention. Blaming him and his son for ML failure is a total joke. Sounds like you child was benched by MM and you are now getting back at him. He was not on the white team he was on the Purple team playing for ES and that team is very good.

        You are the cancer.

Most people don't know that MM was fired from his teams mid season. Sure it was not advertised as a firing because his friends didn't advertise it as such but he was asked to leave. MM did continue to be part of the U14 team but as a cancer. He and his son destroyed that team as they undermined ML at every move to the other players and players parents. ML had to change the culture before he could do anything else and MM and his kid fought it every step of the way.

At tryouts his kid was taken all the way down to the white team. I am really not certain what coach he is going to play for at FKK since RC and BS are folks he has stabbed in the back.

This was not an OCYS management problem but a personal problem for MM.

          Truce

          Time for a truce.

Time to stop the bashing and bickering between FKK and OCYS on Talking Soccer.

Time for everyone to focus their attention, energy and time on their own players, teams and clubs.

Time to begin restoring mature behavior and sanity to youth club soccer in central Florida and Orlando.

Let each club, FKK and OCYS, follow its own course as they see fit.

To everyone, it’s time to move forward.

The OP was correct. He did not start off in the purple team. He was put on the white team. After tryouts many of these teams were shifted because kids did not make commitments and left. In the summer he was put on the purple team. MM continued to beg ML and GB to let him on the DA but I guess that ain't happening anytime soon.

We don't like OC because of youth soccer. We cannot attack OC's bid just based upon that because that makes us look like small-minded, petty, vindictive individuals. Therefore we are going to use the "should not use my tax dollars" argument and hide behind that.

              1) Tourist tax funded - Not a lot of projects qualify for the use of its funds, this does.
              2) No different from Amway center
              3) No different from massive property tax breaks for relocating businesses to Orlando (some of which just move cities from Altamonte to Maitland for example)
              4) Govt. absolutely has a role in encouraging investment and stimulating the local economy
              5) The investment is actually quite small in terms of govt. expenditures

Not that I seek to convince the anti-OC mob because they are not even being honest about they they oppose the stadium in the first place.
Well said. Seriously and sincerely doubt many of those opposed to this joint public/private soccer stadium voice concerns and objections each and every time the governments of the city of Orlando and Orange County provide taxpayer-supported infrastructure (roadways, utilities, etc.) and tax concessions to other private businesses and corporations.

Some teams are registered for both OC and ACDC. Looks like some coaches are gonna pull out at the last minute.

You know very little by what you wrote. He may have wanted his kid on DA but didn't beg. This needs to stop. You people are really sick with your need to go after people on this site. This is suppose to be about soccer.

You lump a whole bunch of different scenarios together when each should be handled on case by case basis.

Arts center, magic, citrus bowl, now soccer...we are their credit card.

Stop the damn spending...got it now? You want it and will get the profits? Fund it yourself.

Businesses and corporations bring in jobs...we pay enough in tolls for infrastructure. People like you like the free stuff and then will riot like Greece when you run out of other people's money.

We pay for it? How about we the people own it like the packers and we will maybe allow PR to run it?!!!??!!?!

Your post is great but make sure you pass the note to the OCYS folks since they still doing the impossible not to allow the players who by own choise left their club play and enjoy the great game of soccer.....Make sure all the attorneys also get the mesage...MOVE THE ......ON

No, how about the tourists visiting your city of Orlando, you know, those people who are the economic life-blood of your community, own it?

After all, it's the tourists' money, the tourist tax, which is providing much of the public funding.

You just don't get it. You are confusing federal debt with local. By law, a local municipality must balance its books every year. That means they can't run huge deficits. So if tax money is coming in through tourism, we need to spend it. We spend it on the convention center on Visit Orlando campaigns and we spend it on our venues that attract tourism.

Now you can make a case for Amway not attracting tourism dollars. You will get no argument from me there. But a soccer stadium will bring in tourism for their International friendlies and State High School matches. Look around, what other towns have a dedicated soccer stadium in FLA? This could be great for our International marketing. We already draw in much of our tourism from Great Britain and South America. This will only add to that as we bring in friendlies with foreign national teams as well as EP, La Liga and other European pro teams.

So Orlando and Orange County are fine. They are not carrying massive debt in their tourism fund and we need to spend the money. Go back to bashing OCYS and let the adults figure out how to bring more money to our economy.

You are a condescending punk. Your last paragraph about bashing OCYS...so if you play at OCYS you MUST support the idea that taxpayers should be on the hook for your toy?

People will come watch and tourism will flourish? It's soccer bozo and you are wanting money for only a theory.

By the way I was unaware of the rules and how we have an endless supply of money. I guess people forgot to tell California, Detroit, and the endless list of Utopias in need of bailouts. It is so good that they have to balance everything out..I too trust politicians! By the way...the nations debt has remained unchanged for about 2 months because the adults in DC turned off the debt clock.

You got it wrong...you kids always spend and then the adults have to clean up your mess.

I like the original idea...who would not agree with if the city funds stadium the people own the team? Surely someone with your tax and spend mentality would salivate at the thought
