What is this about? The U13 girl team or is there more to it? Regarding the U13 girls pulling out of the GPS tournament, they are instead focusing their efforts on ECNL as a great many of them will now be playing on OCYS's U14 ECNL team and there are ECNL games over Labor Day weekend and ECNL takes priority.

OCYS has sent over 8 teams to the FPS tournament supporting it. Also another 7 or more teams to Jacksonville

It's still early. Two of my kids teams are going and I know we haven't "registered" yet to attend. Let's rehash this conversation in another 2-3 weeks. Looking at the alternative ACDC tournament, there's already been some team dropping out- not claiming this as widespread just stating that I know of some teams that were to attend that no longer are

And those ECNL teams are not looking forward to playing a bunch of underage players. Talk about a waste of time and money to drive from Georgia to play a rag tag team that's been scrapped together from different age groups just to field enough players. And ECNL is OK with this???

Besides. Orlando isn't like other places where the best kids need to come together to make great teams. There is an unbelievable amount of talent at every age group in Orlando. There should be at least two great teams at every age group at every club. If there isn't, that club is surely failing and everyone at the other clubs is absolutely correct in feigning disgust when they don't.

You would think the "biggest club in Orlando" with the "professional soccer affiliation" could find enough decent u14's to roster a single team in "the most prestigious league for girls' in the nation". If they're having to reach doen into u13 just to field a team, there's something wrong.

Based on some posted comments it's obvious that for some it is hard to accept that non-Americans (a Brasilian and an Englishman) may very well and most likely will be successful in bringing a MLS franchise to Orlando, FL - an effort and (anticipated) accomplishment not seen from any American(s) from the Orlando area, state of Florida or USA.

If not for a Brasilian and an Englishman, Orlando, FL wouldn't even be under consideration for the highest level of professional soccer in the USA.

For pure and true supporters of soccer, their efforts are applauded.

Yes, registered 8/26/13 with the club FKK. All on got soccer.
