Do you actually think because OC came in with a MLS that is somehow impacts the youth program in how they compensate the coaches? I am sure the OC coaches wish it did. The only benefit is that OC does employ some of the pro players to help run training and camps. So your kid gets to go sweat it out this summer with a name instead of some career coach at a local club. Does not matter one way or another.

    The UGLY TRUTH...

It does not matter one bit how many clubs, trainers and personals you book for your kid. What matters is your kid. If they have the desire to be the best, they will live on the ball. They will take it to school, you will hear them bouncing it off their bedroom walls and you will always see them socializing around soccer. That is the end game.

You could have Kaka himself workout with your kid but if your kid is not going to put those lessons into practice, then you are wasting your money. That is the bottom line.
There is no other club in Orlando that has the high front office cost that OC has. Many Directors with salaries.

No need to answer. Just do a soul search: By getting paid and sit in the front office, how you have contributed to the Purple Teams development? Have you added any value to the soccer life of those paying players or have you been blindly stealing from them?

I don't think any of the paid staff are hurting. Have you seen what cars they drive? BMW, Lexus, Audi. And not cheap ones. Maybe they could put some money toward field lights so their "showcase teams" can practice more than twice a week. Other clubs are peaking. OC seems to be going backwards.

I think the pay discussion is silly, but the lights at Seminole does bother me. Can anyone explain why OC does not light those fields. Money on most things does not seem to be an issue.

Lights cost a lot of money. You are talking a few hundred thousand depending on how many fields they will light. Money is an issue at OC. They have a bloated infrastructure and took over a club and facility that had a lot of debt. Its going to be a bigger problem next year as you will see many players leaving mostly in the older ages. Don't be surprised if you go down to 1 practice a week.

Well, we had about 34 hours total practice for our state cup team so far for the entire year. That is the FYSA affiliated professionally run clubs standard.

Players leaving may depend on what other local clubs publish for their tryouts. If they publish training schedule and transparent curriculum to be accountable, then it would attract players.
If not, it is pan to fire, it makes no sense. Their results are as bad as OCYS. Selling the same old crap in new wrappers.

ahh yes--the great FKK future predictor-- are u the same genius that proclaimed for 3 years that OC will never get an MLS team or stadium--and the same genius that proclaimed that OC will lose ECNL for the past 2 years-- so now you are here to tell us that OC is losing players and will be practicing once a week--please tell us all what lotto numbers you are playing so we can all win millions because your predictions have been great for the past 3 years.

No one is insinuating that OC will fail. They have a bloated infrastructure and done nothing to improve the development of players. If you fall in ECNL or DA, good for you. For all the others, they get nothing.

Pure and simple. Eventually, like any business who does not take care of its clients - clients go elsewhere.

No offense, however you are completely wrong about not improving the development of the players. I've noticed a dramatic change in skills for my son's team over the past year. Their individual skills have grown considerably and they are translating their training into execution on the field. I'm pleased with what I am seeing. Granted, I may be biased (as I'm sure I will be told), but I've seen enough stagnation at other clubs with other kids to know that what is happening here is what I want to continue to bring my child to participate in. If you don't like OC, that's perfectly fine as well. I wish you luck wherever you find your happy place.

I don't know what you mean by "bloated infrastructure" - do you mean too many coaches?

I apologize, I did forget one thing in the previous post. It *really* does seem as if you want OC to fail because if you follow the trail of your post, you are saying that OC is failing their players and that they will walk and leave, which ultimately means OC will fail. So, yes you are saying that the business will fail and lose their clients. Just reading it for what it is.

Please! Talk about prognosticators, OC has been predicting the demise of FKK since its inception. As with any premier club, people expect results and sooner or later the results or lack there of will be the driver of people's decisions to stay or leave.

Pretty sure that you mean OC and FKK's over the top parents have been predicting mutual Armageddon for years. It's one of those roll the eyeball and walk away topics... Getting pretty boring now.

Maybe a few parents from each side. There isn't much animosity between most of us. My daughter has friends on both sides... I think this is a fight between a few staffers from each side.. It is very dumb.

We have been watching and enjoying your debates. On the big picture, if any of your Central Florida clubs win 2 state cups, only then you may earn the right to brag. Until then, you club guys are just fooling the common public. But only benefit so far observed is for quite a few girls who made it to good schools on scholarship, for that both your clubs deserve credit.

Other than that, all your professional coaches and pro player camps show absolutely zero results!
