Anyone who demerits Ecnl is clearly just ignorant. It got my daughter into college. Save the stupidity unless you are just out to try and cause trouble. Can kids get into college other ways? Sure absolutely. Does Ecnlnprovide the best exposure? Yes for us. I think for those who do not play Ecnl they will always try to demerit it either because they couldn't make the cut or some other stupid reason

But OCYS is not an ELITE club. It does not maintain or follow US Club soccers curriculum or standards. It only uses its name to charge high fees and delivers what?
Wonder how it qualifies to be part of that League?

We spend a lot of our own time and money practicing on our own and finding ways to get extra training in outside his practices. If my kid is getting better its 90% him and me and 10% his coach. I would venture to say its they same for most players (male or female).

Do you think that they got great by just practicing 4-5 hours a week and some games on the weekend? Its what they do when nobody else is around and the mentality to sacrifice their free time that makes them better than the majority. Hope that your child continues this mentality and work ethic. It should open some doors for him later on down the road.

No offense, but calling FPL a crappy league is simply either wrong or ignorant.
And the team seems to be doing pretty darned well with 2 practices a week, and hopefully all of the players are doing extra on their own if they want to improve. As with any player or league.

We will then see how much games against Stetson, Minn., and St Johns sharpened FSU's game this year.
