if your going to quote someone at least be accurate. No high school for those players on the ECNL and DA teams. All players on all of the other teams ok to play high school ball.
And when the question was asked about practice location the response was that the top 2 teams in each age group would practice in same location at a location to be determined by coach/club.

The remaining numbers at FSA will dwindle to nothing if CFK and OCS pull out.
one major problem with your walk away idea.

FSA is owned by OCYS who bought 51% stake in the club so OCYS is walking anywhere.

ALL OCYS has to do is fire the coaches before the next vote install thier own coaches thus getting the vote they want. Nothing wrong with an employer firing employees.

And basically you just increased enrollment big time to the other local clubs.

So you lose some FSA region level kids maybe 30% but you gain more than so its a win. The FSA kids who are state cup level will stay at OCYS as will those who stayed at FSA because of location.

"hey doctor, thank you for saving my life and doing a heart transplant, but here turn around now because I am going to stab you in the back" signed FSA.

OCS is about the business side, so lets look at it from that perspective. You have control of the fields which was the arguably the only value that FSA had. The club itself has between 400 - 600 kids dependin who you believe. From that I've heard the 600 number comes from someone using an FYSA trick and counting the seasonal registrations (Fall/Spring) as two instead of 1.

CFK brings 1700 players and with ECNL and DA you can expect a slight increase even accounting for some leaving.

They have to pay the mortgage on that property so do the math as I'm sure a percentage of each registration will go towards that debt.

Horrible business decision on OCS's part. Why would you buy 51% controlling interest in the fields but leave the actual control of direction and decisions to the coaches. I doubt they new about it or maybe they thought they were ok with it but regardless if I'm putting in that kind of money I want control on decisions. If they do nothing and leave these yahoo's in control they are going figure out quick why FSA was in financial trouble. That sucking noise they are just now noticing is the FSA side latching onto their bank account.

Agreed. Plus most of those kids will return in a year or two after the dust settles and swept under the rug.

Since OC controls the fields where will FSA practice and play games?

This is what's so funny. Turns out OC didn't buy anything. And after all those times I teadit here. Go figure. The club is still owned by membership and basically has one week to work out a deal that works for both sides. These coaches represent membership and wouldn't put their jobs in jeopardy if they didn't have good reason. The vote was almost unanimous.

OC made some promises to FSA and things seemingly changed when they worked the deal with CFK. Now coaches are just trying to get OC to committ to those promises.

Btw. From what I understand Rush is the people and FSA is the fields for the DA. I don't know that CFK matters. If CFK isnt merged they will keep the ECNL.

Dont you think it comes down to quality control? If the FSA coaches were the best for the jobs, would they have anything to worry about? If kd throws this whole deal just to secure a couple of paychecks that will cease to exist anyway if Orlando city pulls out with development academy let alone CFK.

Development academy could be run from a variety of places, don't really need FSA for that I wouldn't think.

How would KD throw this vote? The coaches voted against it. I don't even know if the board voted.

Sooo... let's assume FSA has 'rebelled' against OC and CFK. That would be about the third time in the last few years FSA has yanked a merger deal back. It may also mean:

                                - OC and CFK complete their end of the merger and wind up with ECNL, DA and present field leases.

                                - Rawlins and OC have the USL team, the U-23 team and a large youth club with ECNL and DA, and Super Y, but no fields- so he has to figure that out.

-FSA keeps its fields, its $600k debt, and GB. They've had declining mambership for 3-4 years and declining revenue from the two big tournaments. They would be faced with a further drain as good players go to play Academy and ECNL.

Tell me, FSA- did any of you folks REALLY think things through? Or is this just another kamikaze mission by the brilliant minds who ran your club into the ground in the first place?
