You mean there are politics in youth sports? Say it aint so. Cf must be the only place on earth this is true.

Relax and just make a choice. The people at CFK and ocys have worked hard to provide an opportunity to players in cf that has not previously existed. It won't affect every player and it certainly isn't for everyone. Why you feel the need to come on here and bash everything that moves is beyond me. If you think there is a choice that more fits your needs whether it be financial, location, training, etc then just choose that option.

The sad part is why you feel the need to spend countless hours defaming and bashing on an anonymous website people who have done a lot for youth soccer in Orlando.

I am not bashing anyone. That is the difference. There are many good options in Orlando and the extended cf area. Just as a family sit down and figure out which club, team, coach fits the needs of your kids in soccer, go to try-outs and encourage your kid to train hard.

Turning every slight into a personal tirade against all of mankind just seems kind of dramatic to me. There are many clubs, levels, price ranges, field locations here. I'm sure you can find one that fits most if not all of your soccer needs.

I get that you feel slighted. I get that made you mad. Can you help us understand how hours and hundreds of negative name-calling posts have made it all better? Wy nit just take your kids to different try-outs. Seems pretty simple to me.

just ran out of options. FSA was our home but now that's been given away and we have either bas choice one (25 games if ECNL and no High school) and bad choice number two (state Cup in a league no one wants to play in). Add in the fact the girls have been kicked out of FSA. So my choice is to play at the place I've had my kids for almost 15 years now on fields I helped build and that isnt around any longer. It's being run by people who have never done anything to get them other than lie and deceive.

I have seen CFK play 4 times this year and they are not as good as you think.CFK has a FEW very good players but they have more players who play single dimentional soccer. They are either good on offense or good on defense but not able to play both well. Colleges look for kids that are not lazy, can play both offense and defense and not stand on the field while activity is taking place around them. CFK has as many of the lazy kids as they have good players. The final 4 will be interesting . Any team can win in this age group. !!
You're very accurate in your observations. Sometimes parents of the players are blind to what is all around them and unrealistic until a shock takes place. Shock #1 not winning State Cup. Shock #2 their child not getting selected by the expected colleges. Reality sets in. Good things these kids are U16

Thanks for your honest post. A few thoughts and this isn't meant to be bashing.

                - if you played for Fsa for 15 years then you have never played for hm and your opinion of hm and CFK is probably 2nd hand, hearsay or rumor. He isnt a great public speaker and he can be a little rough. It doesn't mean he isn't knowledgable or good.
                - if you are mad at someone perhaps it should be Fsa. They made poor financial decisions that forced their hand, they hired inexperienced docs and allowed a few people to mismanage things to where they had to join ocys. You lose all negotiating leverage when you are desperate. CFK brought ecnl, top teams and financial stability.
                - if you have played for Fsa you have never played in Fpl. I showed last year that statistically speaking, fsl and Fpl were identical in almost every competitive standpoint from quality of team to quality of game (avg goal margin) I am not sure your comment pertaining to Fpl is educated or accurate.
-ecnl and academy will be an amazing opportunity for girls and guys who are very
committed and looking to play at the highest level.

I understand your loyalty to the club and think that is honorable. Fsa like CFK like FCA like rush are not without their negatives but the ocys conglo, station has a chance to offer a great opportunity for all levels and ages if you give it a chance. If not m sure one of the other clubs in the area will have a great opportunity, coach or situation for your kid(s).

                  Spare the BS.

FPL was overflowing with lopsided outcomes, paricularly in certain age/gender groups, with teams that were not "age appropriate" (playing up).

There's a HUGE difference between your "statistics" and statiistical significance.

Good post. FCA, rush, maitland GOU etc will all survive and be good viable options depending your cup of tea. I don't know what all the fighting is about. Just pick a choice and enjoy your kids soccer while you can. They grow up so fast!

You can look it up. Statistics I tracked were:
-percentage of teams in the league that were sweet 16 sc teams
                      - percentage of teams ranked in the top 10 on gotsoccer
                      - average goal margin

There was entire thread devoted to it. Statistics showed that the leagues were almost identical. I realize my stats don't measure up with your personal opinion. Both leagues had lopsided scores. Check it out for yourself. And the Fpl has doubled making the fsl and now the fpsl even more watered down.

Go to a club that does what you want them to do and plays in the league you want them to play in and shut the f$!? up with all of the whining.

So you have no statistics to back it up and you have never played in the league but you are an expert? Please enlighten me what your last sentence means.

What you want is the past, a Parents run BOD with entitlements and little comp for your little susie or Johnny

"Good but not that good..." Compared to what? And who decided that college commitment as a u16 is the objective measure of 'good"?

as I said- no need for argument, and you're entitled to your opinion. It's funny to me how earlier this year the 'analysis' was focused on "not enough scoring threats", and "heven't played anybody". then they beat a few ECNL teams, win Disney, reach the Final Four and suddenly the bar gets moved. You gotta love TS- always entertaining.

The FPL has "doubled"? Now THAT'S funny!

I have 1 apple. Someone gives me another apple. Now I have 2 apples. Wow, my apples have "doubled". Whoopie!

Have yet to see the official USCS/NPL/FPL list of member clubs for 2012-13. Can't wait to see the list and how many of the listed clubs will have "the best competition in the area" in ALL age/gender groups.
