You are exactly right!! Parents better understand what they are getting into. Are you prepared to fly your daughter to California to play in a game and they may never come off the bench? Its called competition, for some its great however many cant play under that kind of stress. Everyone is talking about their daughters making an ECNL team and are totally clueless as to what that really entails.

Good tactic. That way maybe you can save some of the B team players and your team won't fold.

You don't want your daughter to have to experience the "stress" of having to earn her playing time? I'm sure ECNL will really miss you.

Oh and you don't fly to California for a game.

Change is tough to swallow. Never mind the way Orlando did it for 50 years didn't work. If FCA spent more time on developing their kids and club they wouldn't have to resort to nanny nanny booboo Internet defense. It's quite childish but I guess as a last ditch effort.

3. People on this site said that it was only a matter of time before people left.
4. People on this site said people wouldn't show up at try-outs.

CFK has over 2000, have successfully navigated 2 mergers and are on to 3, and are 1 of 2 teams in the entire state in ECNL.

FCA- where everyone Gets equal playing time and we have orange slices a halftime,. We don't keep score because we don't want our little princesses to experience failure and we spend more time on talking-soccer than we do with our own families.

2 & 3) this could still be true but apparently someone sold out. Many people were leaving CFK. Some were K&Kers unhappy with HM and others were EOS. Now all of a sudden the Olando City lifeline has turned into a CFK takeover. How in the world did that happen?
4)this year will be interesting to say the least as last minute deal are happening all over the place. Suddenly OC isn't the place to be! Times running out to make those deals!!

Actually I dont have a daughter only boys however just speaking what I know, my niece plays ECNL in Ohio and I know how competitive it is. Some players will thrive in the system. I'm just stating it's not for everyone and when you hear parents talking you realize many of them have no idea the size of commitment it is.

The CFUK'rs take credit for anything they can spin into a positive, and distance themselves from anything negative they can't explain away.

Bottom line is, none of their teams have ever won anything significant and their core leadership group jumps to a new 'club' every two years......very unimpressive, wouldn't you say?

I'm with CFK, soon to be OCYS. I'm proud of CFKs growth and accomplishments. I'm excited about the future with OCYS.

Nice. I'd like to know the same. I'm with CFK too, and overall, I've been pleased with it. Is it perfect, no. But what is? It's been a good experience for my kid and my family and we have no plans to go anywhere else.

Oh I'm so sorry you and many other parents at FSA dont know the CFK leadership yet. Believe me no one at FSA will have any real leadership role at OC and if they do you know they are the ones kissing ass.

Looks to me from the website there's some FSA leadership at the new club. FSA has some talented players and coaches, I think the merge will have some bumps, but will be successful. Most of the players and parents already know each other and have played together on and off for years.

The Soccer Gypsy is listed as a high ranking member of the OC Priesthood. He reports to the Exec guy- Brian Pederson. That fella better grow eyes in the back of his head.

HM isn't "out", by the way. He has a role in the new organization. without him- there's no ECNL.
