Good game by the Gunners today I hope you managed to catch a few highlights, if not the entire game.

Why are you arguing about this point? It is very clear to anyone with common sense that US Academy will be coming, as will ECNL, to OCYS. The only question is when. Next year, or the year after that perhaps?

By arguing your little niggly points you really make it clear that you are with a club that is going to be toast as these inevitabilities occur. Shame that you burned your bridges or paraded your animosity for your rivals with such vim and vigor that you are now "trapped".

Might I suggest a move to another city, region or state.

Here's news for everybody on this issue: OCYS didn't apply to ECNL. A club can't just "acquire" it's way to ECNL or academy . CFK is the club that applied, after a lot of work by a lot of people and some pretty successful girls soccer results. It will be CFK that gets ECNL status, and THEN joins OCYS.

Premier/State Cup Teams at OCYS Registration

Be excited for what you have but you sound real foolish if you think everyone is just going to drop their teams because of a 3rd "Big Merger" is happening in CF. There will always be an alternative for many reasons. Maybe not clubs as a whole, but individual teams for sure. I have no interest in going to OCYS but have no ill will toward them. Just view things differently.
I play at CFK right now and I want to be on a premier/state cup team again, will they add premier soccer to Register for or will they call it something else at OCYS?

According to our coach they will have an ECNL team and a State Cup team. He wasn't sure if the ECNL teams would play in State Cup or not.

ECNL = no state cup - no high school and 4k per year, lets hope you get the college scholarship

Not sure where you play but at OCYS that isn't the plan. I feel
                        bad for you!

Actually, I think this poster has it about right. I have been told directly no SC, and that HS will be strongly discouraged in favor of training and showcase events. While not an outright 'ban' i think the schedule will make it difficult. Based on our experience in the past, I think $4k may be a little conservative if parents like to travel occasionally to watch matches.

Between Super Y and ECNL OCYS will pull FSA out of its debt within 90 days.

HS Soccer = Over playing but parents get a good feeling watching average soccer while daughter risk ACL injuries and other injuries due to over playing, Does it not make sense to follow what US Soccer has laid out. 38 matches per year makes more sense then over playing and risking injury.

What does an injury cost= maybe more then $4k

HS is big for parents who want bragging rights at the office. " Did you see the paper " Sarah was in it again. By the way dumb ass parents do the HS thing usual 9th and 10th grade with puffy chest then they agree that they were wrong and that HS is crap soccer but they never admit it. Same old crap. If a club coach is pushing HS soccer then that coach is all about HIMSELF. Run Quickly parents from that COACH.
