My child participates in a sport that has enable her to develop skills not only in playing soccer but it refelcts in other aspects of her life. I wish I could make more and not have to "ask" for help but it is my situation. I am thankful, for the help CFK has provide. Don't give donations, but personally if my shoe was on the other foot, and I was able to help others with money donations, I would. My child and I do volunteer and have a sense of community envolvement, and do our part for our community with our time.

You are so full of crap!!! If you are getting money from the most expensive club in town then you are not lifting a finger to help anyone since you are a selfish piece of crap!! Get off your ass and get a job! Btw I call BS on your whole post!

All these parents talk about their girls playing ECNL well they better be prepared for tough competition and lots of money. Around $4000.00 for registration and much more money for travel, they have to travel around the country. If I was paying that kind of money I want a tough competitve coach.
GB's "type of coaching" on the girls' side is nothing but long ball and favor his daughter. If he tries to coach the ECNL team at her age group, there will be a lot of folks exiting.

But I don't thinik he will. He's a big Director now, and has other fish to fry. EQ is a much more qualified and successful coach, and EW is a fantastic coach as well. either one of them would be welcomed and supported.

You probably don't know what long ball is, so it wouldn't be worth debating that with you. I find him to be a great coach. Is he for everyone? What coach is? Most kids will be very successful, learn the game, and get training that will improve them. No coach is perfect, but GB is one of the better coaches I've been around. Your personal experience may not have been great, but I would guess that the majority that he's coached have benefitted.

Yeah, I probably don't know what "long Ball" is. Maybe you can grace us all with your deep reserve of knowledge on the finer points.

But I don't have to "guess" about GB or his style, either. The quintessential daddy coach. Exhibit A of the good ol' boys of central Florida. King of the KK Gypsies.

It's funny everyone likes to bash CFK for being the Most expensive etc. These are some of the same folks who complain about volunteer coaches, daddy coaches and "rec coaches". Did you ever stop to think about how much a qualified coach would want to get paid? To be qualified you would have to expect that they have put in some time studying and/or playing the sport and devote quite a bit of their time to it. Get over it, no matter your profession

              Salesmen
              CEO

You wouldn't work for free right?

Show that Hue guy who's boss. Nobody can tell you what to do.
No - you have it wrong. I said I choose what things to donate to, and both my kids raised funds earlier in the year selling coffee. Some of those proceeds also went to scholarship funds. It is not easy to keep going to the same neighbors, friends, etc. and keep asking for money over and over. They don't like it. And I simply refuse to just write another $100 check when I feel I have contributed this year. This is just not what I choose to spend my time nor money on at this point. I like this club and I think both of my kids will play here next year, so I'm not trying to show them "who's boss". I'm just not going to participate in this "mandatory" fundraiser. End of story.

Whoever is posting this garbage obviously has a personal issue that needs to be resolved. The day GB teaches anyone to play "long ball" is the day you become a professional player/coach. In other words...NEVER!!! He is a solid trainer and always has been. His u6/u7 boys teams are beating u9 and u10 teams on a regular basis because they don't play long ball....They play with skill and speed. His older boys play tight triangles and possession. Long ball.......what a joke.

Nobody expects you to write a check. And it's obvious the real problem focuses on the word "mandatory". Otherwise, you might encourage your kids to try some new contacts rather than asking the same small group of neighbors or friends to donate.

But you're so upset over the word "mandatory" that you won't even try. Even $50 would help. $10 dollars each from five people. I can't believe your kids couldn't accomplish that for a good cause if you encouraged them.

This has to be the funniest thing I've ever heard. You are talking about his U6 team? Does he bench kids on this team just for the win like he does his u12 team?

I'm not talking about any team. I'm simply stating that at any level, any age, or gender that long ball is not being taught on one of his teams.

would it be ok if a team decided to get 100 each in donations and take them to the local food bank for backpacks of food for the kids who are homeless to take home after school on friday?

If its for sucha a good cause for the community then why not give all the funds to community instead of part of it?

Call my BS, I am a single parent and work every day. And I said, that I do not get 100% pay, just a portion. But apparently, you know more. I responded becasue I feel, not everyone, that this is an important fundraiser. I have my opinion, you have yours. I am far from a selfish piece of crap, and the way you are rattling off, I don't think kind of you.

I heard the U6 team has a special trip planned to France for development. This is quite a team if you haven't seen them.

When you have already sold coffee, pizza cards, school fundraisers, trust me there are very few people left. This has become a stupid argument. You have no idea how much money I give to worthy causes and I don't need to justify to you because I choose not to participate in one fundraiser. And as I believe someone did state before, premier soccer is a luxury not a necesssity. Big difference.
