Don't know. Don't care. If you've already paid your money that's YOUR problem.

And if your club can't/won't give you any straight answers, try to get your money back and find another club.

See, maximizing revenues and, at the same time, providing a high-quality program are not necessarily joined at the hip.

The Super-Y League couldn't possibly care less what OCYS -and you - do. It's not an USL/ Super-Y League problem.

A Summation of Super Club Dynamics

I will now sum up the Super Club scenario for all of you who can't seem to grasp what will happen.

        1. If your kid is a top tier talent the Super Club will provide exposure and opportunities that won't be available elsewhere and they will charge you greatly for it.(Until they possible recieve full funding through corp sponsorship or professional level ties)

        2. If your kid isn't in that tier the Super Club will take your money and put your kid on their B,C,D teams that will not provide the same opportunities that the A team receives.

The moral of the story is to take your non-A team kid to another smaller club that will hopefully give more attention and/or training to your child in hopes that they will develop later into a top tier player.

        Your welcome.

At tryouts OC will do the same as CFK has done for the past 2 years. The same guys give their famous speech to everyone that even if your kid did not make the A team (Black team) there is plenty of room and opportunity for them to move up. They will be evaluating players throughout the year and will move players accordingly. Same speech every year, Believe me it NEVER happens.

            True Alternatives to Orlando City

Coaches how would you like to have a club that allows you the freedom to coach when you want and where you want? A club the that provides an annual schedule of tournaments with US Club Soccer? Or better yet an organizations that DOES have the kids in mind?

We are the Florida Hurricanes F.C. The founders share the same feelings as many of you. We feel we have a great program to offer. We are unique and not your traditional club environment. For more information contact Dustin at 407-474-9269 or email dustin@floridahurricanesfc.org.

Hope to talk to you soon!

I guess you can perhaps bring back a trophy to display and tell everyone your child won it in Chicago. The previous post was correct that this tournament is of no significance. FPL is no more, and there are no college scouts there looking at your 13 & 14 yr old kids. If you go, go for the fun of it and the experience dont sell it as a must for your child to go further in soccer.

I will only go there if you are going MLS. If not my loyalty is with the lion.

My son has several friends that presently play for CFK, I know that numerous teams are being told they have to go to Chicago this summer for FPL tournament since they evidently came in 1st in the FPL league here in Florida. I'm not sure how many teams but I know alot of them. The present teams will be going and their parents are paying for the trip. I have serious doubts as to whether or not the try outs will be true try outs. Are the coaches going to say you are good enough to go to Chicago with our team but by the way you are not being chosen for this team again?? My son really wants to go to tryouts there but I'm starting to feel that they are stringing hundreds of people along to get lots of players to tryouts. Plus I keep hearing of all these kids that are registered for Super Y. Like over 40 for U14 and U15, and only 18 can dress for the games. Are they just commiting to a bunch of false promises???
It's six teams so if your kid isn't in one of these age groups you ahve nothing to worry about:

The way Super Y is being Run currently is pretty much patch work with GB in charge. Things should change once the complete organization is set from top to bottom. As always you never know if coaches already have their minds made up going into tryouts but I will say this, for the most part the CFK group hasn't been opposed to replacing players at Tryouts.

I know a couple of new players are there this year though I don't know if they are good and playing or if it was probably politics

We are not for all teams. Orlando City will offer programs that work for some and not others. We offer an alternative for coaches that are not in the mix of programs that will be offered. Good Luck

No offense but Maitland already serves renegade teams. Why should I choose you over them?

So, this is about displaced and unemployed youth soccer coaches?

                              And these coaches' qualifications are...?

They coach their own kids playing for them, have seen a soccer game on TV and once a book on the shelf about soccer. Oh and they led the last team they coached to the YMCA League Championship
