Are you aware that they also have a PDL team, and a youth (largest in the region) club?
Duh.
This OCYS is "the largest in the region", eh? WHAT "region" is that now?
By a merger of CFK and FSA, OCYS is now what? 3,000-5000 kids?
Well tomorrow, Sunday April 15th, there had better be 3,000 OCYS kids (minimum) + their OCYS SoccerDads/SoccerMoms with their happy asses in their seats at the Citrus Bowl to see OCSC's first home match of the PDL Pro 2012 season.
C'mon, all you OCYS players and supporters, truly show your undying loyalty and support for your parent organization - for the first home match of the 2012 season and EVERY home match of the 2012 season! (Ah, sorry, couldn't make it, I had to mow the lawn.)
Because frankly, unless OCSC can consistently muster up the requisite number of (paid) happy asses in seats at the Citrus Bowl, OCSC can kiss their chance of a MLS franchise in Orlando "good-bye".
Doesn't really matter about "the management group", "the investors", "the sponsors", blah, blah, blah... if the folks don't show for the show, the show is OVER.

Don't forget all the kids that are leaving your kids team and are playing super Y at OC. They will be there with their parents also.

What are they going to do take attendance with those free tickets that were given to the kids to see who shows and if they don't will they get black listed for it, really???

OCYS will have around 2000-2200.
As to the pro team, you're right. It doesn't matter how good the front office is. Ticket sales are all that count.
Actually, it may well be OCYS and OCYS "wannabe" parents who are "desperate", willing to pay an over-inflated $600 price for an unproven product (OCYS Super-Y) in an effort to help ensure a toehold for the upcoming tryouts for the 2012-13 season.

Go to the Orlando Sentinel website - go to Sports - nothing shown for Orlando City Soccer Club (with its first 2012 home match today). Use search for Orlando City Soccer Club - nothing returned in the search.
Oh yeah, Orlando is a future MLS franchise alright - NOT!
Just back from the game. A beautiful evening, great fans and a great time! Announcer claimed 8000 in attendance- but I'll eat my hat if there was more than 4000.
One more thing: concessions are the biggest ripoff I have ever seen. One hot dog and a handful of French fries- $12 !! A lemonade was $6... The conscessioner needs to be hung by his thumbs for this.
