I think the discussion on ECNL is over. No matter what CFK now OCYS got it.

I read a post a few pages back that to me was interesting. Someone was stating something about the prestigious and professional people who will be running OCYS. I would be interested in knowing who these folks are as probably many of you would also be interested. Whoever has this information, please share.

largest- most members General Motors was the world's "largest" automotive manufacturer. GM went bankrupt.
most prestigious- ecnl [After it's "sales pitch" and grab for marketshare in FL with NPL/FPL, it was inevitable USCS/ECNL would pick 1 or more FPL clubs for ECNL. Had they not done so, USCS/NPL/FPL would have looked foolish. For USCS/ECNL, its more about market penetration then the FL ECNL clubs' worthiness.[/b]

Sad that the CFK staff and coaches are considered the best and most professional, that alone says alot about central florida soccer when that statement is correct.

Thats like putting 3 cars in a best of show catagory, a yugo, pacer and a chevette, none are good jsut have to pick the best of the worst.

A couple of CFK coaches decided to "jump ship" and get involved with the FSA/OCS thing. CFK folks howled, lambasting these CFK "traitors" and referring to FSA as a "dumpster fire".

Then CFK as a club decides, "if you can't beat 'em (FSA/OCS), then join 'em" (CFK goes in on FSA/OCS).

Now CFK folks say OCYS will be "the most professional".

Too funny.

So true...But that is what happens to delusional folks.

CFK could of started a league in Haiti and these folks would follow like sheep. The "HSL", 'now this is the top league'!

Talk Amongst Yourselves

Look, nothing I can say will change any minds about the merger or the new club if those minds are determined to naysay and tear it down, as clearly many here are.

For Pete's sake- there's now even a move on to discredit the ecnl league and their motivations for picking CFK and Brandon. I guess some people's bitterness runs so deep they'll say anything or rationalize in any way possible to make themselves feel better.

If tomorrow OCYS were to announce it somehow got awarded an Academy, you guys would either discredit the Academy or try to claim 'politics'. If anson Dorrance and Tony Diccico showed up with landon and Mia to proclaim OCYS a great club, you guys would attack all four of them and question their credibility.

Bottom line is you're bitter because you think somehow that CFK/OCYSs successes reflect badly on you and/or your club. here's a newsflash: It ain't all about you. Get over your small-minded vendettas and move forward with whatever plans you have to make YOUR clubs better.

-We will see what tryouts bring, and whether membership expands or contracts and what CF club has more members.
-We will soon see what the coaching staff looks like compared to other clubs- licensing, experience, etc.
-And we will see whether ECNL is "prestigious" as I claim, or just another GCF as you think.
