Thank you for proving the point... 4 teams for 07s, and that's why 1 of them plays in classic. Appreciate your assistance, for those who bash that team for playing SL classic. But one poster said rhody would be ok for 4th and 5th teams...

The "professional" coaches that coach a fourth team are pretty much Rhody level coaches / babysitters as well

I know this will never happen because of money, but why doesn’t every RI Club team enter into Superliga Anchor and the worst rated club gets relegated to town soccer status. Parents will see that club does not always mean club. We go back and forth bashing clubs for no reason because they’re all bad. The state has watered itself down so the only thing to do is leave. The reason Superliga struggles is cause all the superliga players of the past are pretending they are club players in their town or lousy club.

Because the RI Superclub "Baysidefc" tried to destroy Superliga. There was a meeting with the certain associations/towns in RI to start a new league that would compete with Superliga.We were with GPS at the time when we heard about this and we were not invited.

Exactly. Everyone should stop trying to change something that isn't broken, which is Super Liga. Multiple divisions... Put your team where they belong, and mind your business. If your chasing a trophy, play in rhody or classic, if you want competition, play anchor. It's really that simple

The original poster asked if there were any good games at Super Liga finals and it turns into the usual whining about Surf and Bayside. We are still one of the few states in Region 1 to have decent town competitive programs. It is not all doom and gloom.

The U12 and U14 games looked pretty good on both the boys' and girls' sides. GU14 final had a late equalizer that took the game to PKs. Sidelines didn't seem as loud as in some years past, except maybe in the BU12 game. Some Bayside but very few if any Surf players were on the field that weekend.
