Not true because PB has such a bad reputation the Scorpions would never hire him if they want to attract girls.

I'm sure the Scorpions would love a few girls from the Rhode Island girls teams BUT they are not looking for an entire club to purchase. What says if they merge with a Rhode Island club that the top girls will stay and come to Scorpions and then what???...Scorpions is left with??? NO I'm sure, they of course, want the top Rhode Island girls to play ECNL and that's it! Period. Rhode Island has some top girls that are really great. It's ashame they don't want to challenge themselves in ECNL or GA. It really is. Until then I give this merger a 1% chance of happening.

I care! We are having a dream season under LR with RI Surf in Superliga.
I want to know if this will continue, I sure hope so. We are dominant.
I need to know if we need to start networking and grovelling back to our sad town team.

You act like the this is the first time club team play as town teams. Providence, EP, South County , Portsmouth, Cumberland have been doing it for years and many more. Maybe you are Rookie and don't know enough about RI soccer. It is ok . It has happened for 20 years and it will happen for another 20.

At one time teams like Pumas weren't allowed. Right now it's allowed so of course people are going to do it.

Your teams weren't the ones whom the rules were changed for, but other towns wanted the rule changes for whatever reasons.

Go to your town board and the other towns and have them petition to get the rules changed back.

Until then why complain if those are the rules?

You're right, it's just not important enough to me I guess. It's the constant gloating of the Puma parents and coaches that bothers me the most. No rule against that either though.
