Third seed is a little outrageous but expect a close game. The NK coach is friends with the CW coach and probably already shared his game strategy with him!

I agree on holidays with no activities scheduled. RIIL owns the blame on that. Cram as much into the season as possible and get the season done. Puts pressure on everyone involved in all sports.
SK with another big win! SK GK even had an assist in this one I see.

Don’t know if you’ve heard but there is this new thing that the kids are doing these days. It’s called Math. You should try it. It’s fun!

Trap game - CW loses to last place team; plays arguably the second and third best teams to a tie and one-goal loss..lays an egg against the teams right in its shot group..not unusual for CW - coach plays a more defensive game looking for the tie or one goal win against a much higher seeded team -- just the type of team NK has tended to lose over the past years.

Here is the truth about this year. Every team has a had a bad game or two, and many have lost or tied games against what would be considered a much weaker team. It has been wildly unpredictable game outcomes. Even though they haven’t lost, even LaSalle has appeared vulnerable in a few games, and could find themselves losing their perfect record in an unpredictable upset too. I think there have been many reasons for the unpredictable nature of the results this season. In addition to the typical HS team’s performance being affected wildly by an injury to a top player or GK, or even the random “stand on their head” GK performance that can keep a weaker team in a game, I think the weather, field conditions, and all the re-schedules have had a major impact on many of the game results this fall. Most non-turf fields are a mess and have really become the great equalizer in some games. Add to that all cancellations that have wreaked havoc on schedules. Some teams have gone 7-10 days without playing, and then forced to play 4 games in 6 days. It messes up a teams rhythm, it screws with their line-ups, and can cause additional injuries. It’s really been a mess.
Now LaSalle is of course always at the advantage in RIIL, between recruiting AND getting to play on turf for all their home games, which added with the away games on turf, means they play 80% on turf without these field issues. Teams like Cumberland, Portsmouth etc who play on turf may have the field advantage, but not the recruiting advantage. LaSalle gets both, and frankly if they do lose or even tie a game, it would be a HUGE upset. I for one, always root for them to lose, because of their obnoxious entitlement while reaping the rewards of a non level playing field (literally and figuratively!), but I am not confident that it will happen this year.

Do we have our NK v CW results yet? I would expect our see W mom to be posting away if they pulled the upset, no?

NK was lethargic in first half. 3 or 4 players out with injury.
Even so, CW got their only opportunity and scored and held their ground.
Second half NK a boost
The ball barely got out of CW end. NK gets one back 15 min in, or so. Then just went in attack mode without a conversion although there were oops
Blah game.
Better game of the day:
Cumberland tie Smithfield 0-0

There is no way CW outshot NK (according to stats). Who the heck tallied those shots? CW had a total of 5 shots on goal at best with only 1 shot in the second half. I would say NK had 10-12. Either way a tie that should've been a win for NK. There were chances to win it. Have to take advantage of those chances at this time of year.
