Final
After OT and Shootout SK prevails. This may be the beginning of a SK dynasty.
I agree with previous person posting regarding what SK has for talent, what has come in, and what is coming up. We will be hating on them next. lol

Re: D1 players ...Barrington junior playing DA committed to play soccer at Yale. There are few younger ones already being looked at/and starting the recruiting process and will likely go D1 or high D2. Others had opportunity to do so, but are choosing academic D3 programs. Just because you TS cowboys think you know every soccer player in the state doesn’t mean you do.

So if bragging about a kid going D1 is your thing, congratulations.
Average D2 HS player at best BTW.

and yes, if the LSA student played HS, LSA would be probably a sure thing as to an "almost" sure thing.
As someone noted earlier, how do even those club teams even the NPL/ECNL look in the Nov/Dec tournaments - it is usually "coach is feeling out the team" or "got to shake off the high school bad mojo", etc.
High school and club are different focus ; and while the previous poster is probably more right than not about the higher level college recruiting, taking 2 months off for high school isn't going to kill an elite player's chance because they're still either going to get noticed (or not) in the 9/10 other months of club, showcase, camps, etc.
Honestly, if the DA's point is you need the immersion all year and can't be tainted by high school (or god forbid playing another high school sport), then early returns aren't too promising in terms of national level player pool results..and if your kid ain't in the national pool range, then that's a big loss to miss the high school experience because the other intangibles.
Look at Alex Morgan - "Alex Morgan was a multisport athlete growing up, but she didn't start playing organized soccer until she was 14 years old. She attended Diamond Bar High School, where she was a three-time all-league pick and was named an NSCAA All-American." -- hmm, is our DA producing Alex Morgans?
Okay..she's from the past..how about Mallory Pugh? She played 3 high school seasons despite already being tagged early on to be WNT level caliber. Mewis high school. Lavelle - high school. The one exception maybe Horan, but she was already thinking professional soccer while still in high school.
Kids should have a choice - it's a bad move by US Soccer to restrict a player and parents' choices for what works, especially when the vast majority of "elite" players aren't going to be national or professional players..
