I think it's an important topic. Not specific to these players but the transfer rate of womans soccer in general. These kids committ way too early, some as early as freshman year of high school. Inevitably coaching changes happen and players fall in and out of favor. The best deal is always when the most money is available. Some schools will have money available for transfers but most coaches use up their scholarships trying to protect their jobs by winning games. The most cost conscious coach won't keep his job if he doesn't win games. I hope these girls did well financially. I have my doubts having gone through the process. I do think they will be psychologically better if they feel like they are in a place that appreciates what they bring. I hope that at some point the NCAA reigns in the recruiting process. Maybe the cesspool that is basketball recruiting violations that are coming to light brings sweeping reforms to all sports. Jmo
