I heard from a friend whose DD plays for GPS South that they're ending their partnership with South County YSA. Does anybody know what's behind it? Are they pulling out of southern RI?

Rumor is that some of those better players from GPS/South County will be making the trip to East Providence for the BaysideFc Academy tryouts next week .

Great news for youth soccer in RI. It will be interesting to see the combined DA U12 looks this fall. BB is an excellent coach who get the most out of his players.

Just once it would be nice to see the soccer families in RI do the right thing. Imagine all the top 04 boys playing on one team representing RI in the countries top league. That would be special. Keep the politics out of it and see what these young boys can do.

Got this via email:
"Over the past few years, South County Youth Soccer Club has had a partnership with Global Premier Soccer (GPS). This partnership has served our Elite Program well, but, as some of you may have heard, GPS has decided to end the partnership. Although this decision is forcing a change to our Elite Program, we are confident that our 40 year history and strong foundations will lead to a better Elite Program.
We have a clear vision for going forward with the Elite Program, and we are confident that SCYSC will be establishing a new partnership in the very near future. SCYSC remains committed to our three core principles:
1) High-level Coaching and Competition
2) Local Training and Games
3) Affordable and Valued Experience
SCYSC will be holding tryouts to select players for the Elite Program -- As Scheduled."
Does anyone have any info about who the new partnership will be with?
