I think State Cups are going to be very interesting this year.
They lost their #2 forward to a weaker NEFC team
Lost their #2 keeper to the U16 Bayside team

    No worries for this team

Being from the team ,She wasn't the number 2 or number 1. I believe both those forwards were very equal just offered different parts of the game. I believed they finished only a couple goals apart for the whole season. To say number one or two there seems to be a little tension. She was The leading scorer for div 1 as the other for div 2 in Highschool. She will be missed, don't know why she went to lesser team, but wish her the best of luck.

She didn't go to a lesser team, NEFC Premier North is a better team than Bayside.

Scored 6, Gave up 27. Six losses and a tie. U14 Girls have an advantageous schedule, having the opportunity to play Stars who had already played, but still couldn't bring home the win, or tie.

nothing is wrong with the club. They get most of the best girls from Rhode island, but for the most part the very best leave.

Also, there are now real threats to a Rhode Island club in state borders, since the rise of US Club Soccer which essentially removed the restrictions on who could compete here as a premier club.

Personally, I think the invite to the NPL if going to end up backfiring on the club. It's allowed them to lure more talent, but also exposed the talent to better clubs. Sort of unintended consequences.

All of the high school aged Bayside teams lost big time talent last summer. The U15 team won New England regionals, then lost a regional pool player. It's hard to believe.

I think Bayside is the old guard's last hope. RI Rays was far more competitive in New England than Bayside is today. All Bayside did was change the name on the jersey of the team that represented Rhode Island. They did nothing to change how things are done. Lots of recruiting, false promises, and an old boys network. Meanwhile, just over the border there's been an increase in coaching standards and professionalism.

Bayside had helped Rhode Island stand still in the soccer world.

The results are what you saw today.

                            Try Something New!!!

Wouldn't it be refreshing to discuss soccer and details of strategy and also mention when some one has a good match or tournament.

Shame on all you trolls and ridiculous parents who live off of inflating your kids reputation and at the same time look to slander / destroy the other players to make your kid look better.

Finally as a hint here....even though no names are provided to each reply most of us are aware of exactly who is saying what. You are not getting away with your cowardly comments!!!

To correct this specific thread. Both girls who left U17 team are good kids and very good players...so why hate on them?? Dad we know who you are!!

The forward whether #1 or #2 in scoring last year will be missed...how could she not be? Both players complemented each other with different skills. Incidentally Scorer #1 and #2 are friends, it's a shame same cannot be said for the parents.

The Goalie #2 rotated with the other goalie in net 1st or 2nd quarter...was not aware they were ranked...least that was what the coach said?? Goalie #2 is also a good player and she will be missed. (Remember NEFC NE Tournament...not bad for a #2 Goalie)

Finally we should wish the best for all Bayside Teams no matter what age...you ever think the owner of this thread is laughing at Bayside people looking to Cannibalize themselves!! Try to use your brains before you speak and show some class...PLEASE!!!

great post...Almost all club soccer has "helped soccer stand still" Its a business first. family and friends second and god knows what else (delicately not player friendly) third. when the US becomes relevant as a soccer power then we will begin to see the fall of club soccer as a business model and become more train/talent oriented. That's if club soccer exists as we know it.
