Who are top premier RI teams to beat for fall 2015 - Predictions

I think Bruno girls tied that same NEFC team in state cup qualifier? Seems like mostly the parents like to brag about what 14 year old team is the "best" based on one game a year (state cup final) but you really need to look at overall record. Maybe those 2 teams will play each other again this year and after another match or two you may get to earn your bragging rights....maybe you can add beating Bayside NPL again too before you go crazy saying how much better this NEfc team is compared to those other two...

Who is bragging? Someone started a thread asking who the teams to beat are and facts have been stated. It is true, at this age and gender there are some good teams in the RI environment and some very good players.

Top three teams again will be Bruno, Bayside NPL an NEFC Southeast. NEFC is the team to beat because they won it all last year and were the only girls team other than Bayside to win a RI Cup Championship. That is not bragging, that is something to be proud of.

Don't mind the Bayside folk who have been trying to downplay the local NEFC region since the day NEFC Southcoast arrived. It's true that back in the first years, the disparity of the NEFC Southcoast teams and Bayside teams were huge as were those teams with other the regions teams. But over the years that has changed immensely. Now the current NEFC Southeast region is one of the club's strongest, and Bayside folks still keep trying to sell the same old song and dance. I used to buy into their spiel until I realized it was naive and short sighted. They'll probably do the same with GPS-RI, although considering that they just lost their entire South region to GPS, maybe they've awoken and will finally realize they no longer have a monopoly on RI soccer talent.

How did Bayside lose an entire south region...they just renamed them this whole my club is better than yours is getting old.... go where you feel comfortable for you

The truth with NEFC Southeast is to feed the few all stars they have to the elite system (NEFC central) and everybody else just pays in and all the extra training isn't free. NEFC Southeast is not the same environment as NEFC Central.

Looking at this weekends results, looks like GU12 NEFC Southeast team beat NEFC Central in finals. They also beat GPS NPL. I think that bodes pretty well for the current Southeast environment.

Because maybe you want your kid playing with a good coach and get great training? Is playing in the NPL that important? My daughters NEFC team beat or tied every NPL team they played last year except for the NEFC Elite team. Many top tier NEP teams will strongly compete with NPL teams.

Good Coach? Do you mean try to enhance a players knowledge of the game? there isn't a good coach anywhere to be found at NEFC. The coaches there from what I've seen prefer the "plug and play" type players. There is NO coaching going on.
They train with some decent drills, small sided games but as far as actual coaching, non- existent.

I somewhat agree, there are good teams, good people (coaches) with good intentions, but poor coaching skills. They talk a good game, nice folks, but as far as bringing the player to the next level, it's up to the player to excel on their own. The coaching there is pretty flatlined. Probably why there are not any notable players from the tri-state area...yet!

Sounds to me like the inadequate one is the person who posted the original comment to start all this crap and wishes they went to NEFC. What happened, did an NEFC team kick your ass today?
