Bruno has formed partnerships with Pawtucket, Ocean State, and informally with Portsmouth. GPS with South County and Cumberland. Bayside FC building a new turf field in EP. Will the Rams FC, Bayside United, and Lusitana survive in this ever changing youth soccer environment?

There is still a market for small clubs, not sure how long it'll sustain but for now they will survive. Unfortunately at the macro level soccer is a big business and the large clubs are consolidating and rolling up smaller clubs. Some parents are delusional and get trapped in the acronym wheel so words like Elite, Premier, NPL, ECNL separate fools from their money.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post
Regardless, soccer in the smallest state won't produce teams that win national championships nor even regional ones. RI can produce top talent but it won't be through small clubs, they don't have the budget or resources to retain talented players.Comment

Every clubs should have a niche. On the boys side clubs goal should be to develop players talented enough so one day they can play on DA team. Looking at the Revs Academy's website there are 4 players listed Bayside. 2 players played for Capital. That says a lot.Comment

NEFC, GPS, FC Bolts, Rev's are going to continue to grow, they are not going away. Parents will have the decision to make regarding which program suits them geographically, financially, development structure and playstyle. (not necessarily in that order)Comment
