Did anything ever come of this?

High School coaches have resume's? It's a part time girl's high school coaching job... Does anyone really care? It's not Duke or North Carolina you are talking about, it is NK. The program hasn't been good in years and at least they made the playoffs last year. Maybe you should look to it's feeder programs.

On another more important subject, has anyone heard what the new realignment will be? This is a realignment year, isn't it?

You didn't hear? Coach was arrested and sent to the ACI.

        Does that make you happy?

All coaches have to have a background check. It would have popped up. Slanderous... be careful.

I think one can pass a background check and provide a "less than truthful" resume. I don't believe the process involves verifying the licenses earned (I could be wrong).

If bad coaching were to be criminalized then the majority of schools would be looking for new coaches year after year. We'd have to build prisons on many soccer fields to accommodate all of the bad coaches.

If any coach has truly provided misleading information or outright lied on his resume then it should be brought to the attention of the AD with sufficient proof. (I don't believe the NK AD would care but others might)

The background checks are done by the town and/or city police departments for all coaching and/or teaching jobs. I doubt anyone would get away with that. An individuals information is run through a national data base. Licenses, etc... As with all resume's I am sure they all fluff them up as do most people going for any jobs these days. As far as a HS coach is concerned, I believe all they need is a D license. As long as he/she has that they are good to go. It's a 10-11 week part time job for HS soccer.
RI HS soccer is an extension of Rec on Boys/Girls side. Whoever has the more dominant players (Players who have played Premier and above) will usually be there in end.
Could be bad coaching regarding the teams. I am sure there are other factors as well including parents players and coaches.
One D1 program was on a roll all season until infighting started (parents, players, and coaches) and it wasn't NK. I witnessed it all season!

Nice work by Gilooly and the Journal. They leave the Gatorade player of the year off their all state and all independent teams. you need to go to Lasalle to be recognized I suppose.

Well maybe Gatorade got it wrong, there were other players who did more for their school teams, better grades, & more service. It sounds like Gatorade took the easy way out & just gave it to last years winner.

Without a doubt. She has nothing left to prove here. She's the best player!
