Does anyone know if teams who participated in the NEP State Cup Series will earn points in Got Soccer?

Not going well at all down in WV. SRI folks missing Bayside teams right now. If they only gave a $h!t about the players and not the $$$ this could have all been avoided.

Some doing ok
Some of the teams from RI are doing okay...few wins, some ties....and of course some major losses. Other than Maine, RI will probably have the poorest showing though. Smallest state so I guess that makes sense. Not sure how it helps player development to spend 5 nights in West Virginia to play 3 games and maybe come back with one win if you are lucky. Probably just so parents & players can say their team "went to regionals" (so that means they are good????)

Main point..barboursville complex is terrible...no improvement 7 years later..3 fields closed after one rain..should have been more...parking horrendous..other fields clover crabgrass...meanwhile 7 or so beautiful turf or Bermuda grass fields within 30 miles available according to a wv coach down here...
Right..all about the $$$$...meanwhile region 1 folks sit in those high priced rooms in huntington..but hey it's about the kids right...unsafe fields and set up with balls flying in and hitting players on other fields..people walking behind goals during matches..all so those overpriced t-shirt and food vendors have a captured audience

Rhode Island's teams got out scored 18-158 over the weekend. Not a very good showing. On the bright side Rams U15 boys performed against one of the top non-academy team in the nation ending in a 1-1 draw. Very respectable for any Rhode Island's team.
How each clubs performed:
Lusitana outscored 1-46
Portsmouth. Out scored 2-32
Rams out scored 4-12
Bayside United 1-31
Warwick Soccer out scored 3-7 (best goals %)

The Rams boys teams didn't win but were at least competitive (3 ties and 3 one goal losses). The bottom line is this clearly shows how badly SRI has managed youth soccer in RI and all the "non-profit" premier club owners (US Club guys as we'll) share in the blame. If there was any plan to actually develop players and not just make a buck RI wouldn't be embarrassed every year.

However your basic point is correct..but those issues have been well cataloged here on ts....
Other posters point on barboursville...and same is true when Ri hosted state cup...jam all the games into one site to maximize the $$ instead of creating the best possible conditions to for the players...region 1 needs to take a hard look at why only subpar facilities end up with the tournament last few years....sad when first rate fields only became available due to crisis..even in good weather those barboursville fields are average and you don't have to be a landscaping expert to know fields in .low lands that are uneven and crown inward with terrible grass won't care well under stress..
Yes perhaps not the best teams from ri went..but that is true for all the states impacted by growth of us club..

If you need to point figures then you should direct the to the town clubs. They have not do a good enough work if player development and player ID. They should be promoting player to seek better training and competition by moving players up in the player development pyramid. Instead, they have developed this adversary relation against premier clubs. I'm glad to see some clubs recognized the benefits of developing a collarative relationship with premier clubs thereby allows their players to move up the pyramid.
