I'd prefer to compare the Bayside teams to NEFC's B, C, and regional teams:

Bayside U12 - last meeting as U11's lost to NEFC Metro North 4-1
Bayside U13 - got killed by NEFC Elite and fortunately has not had to face NEFC Premier
Bayside U14 - last meeting tied NEFC Premier 1-1
Bayside U15 - last meeting with NEFC Premier lost 2-0, only beat NEFC C team 1-0
Bayside U16 - tied NEFC Premier this fall
Bayside U17 - tied NEFC United and lost to NEFC South Coast

Fact is in every age group, Bayside would be the 3rd or 4th best team if they were wearing NEFC Uniforms.

NEFC Elite teams compete at a far higher level nationally.

The U15 team is the perfect example. The scores are what they are. Ultimately you have to look at the full record.

U15 NEFC Elite - two regional championships, one national championship, played in the Disney first division and won. They beat the top team in Virginia and #2 in the country 3-0. They beat the top team from Nevada 9-1.

U15 Bayside just barely won state cup. They didn't win the year before. They lost in the final of one of the lowest Disney divisions to the number 3 team in Michigan.

The U15 Bayside team lost to Vermont at Regionals.

The U15 team has lost numerous times versus the NEFC B team.

Yes, the games were close in score, but the teams aren't close in level.

Some of the best RI players are playing in second and third tier Massachusetts teams, because they get better training than at Bayside.
It's even more glaring on the boys side.

In the last 3 yrs MA clubs have begun to consolidated. The big beneficiaries were GPS, NEFC, Stars in that order. Let face it with the vast large pool of players to form multiple divisions within the club, it is logical to assumed you should have more superior teams. The fact that many of the smaller clubs can still compete and on a good day beat the top teams is not something you all should be so proud of. Bayside for its part continues to be a dominate club for kids is RI who chooses to play club. Here is a statistic you all should know. RI has about 1,800 players playing club soccer in RI and MA combined. That is half of NEFC has. If all the RI kids were to play for Bayside it is logical to assumed NEFC still based on number alone should have better team in their top tier teams. So bear in mind that many RI have carrier MA team in the top division for as long as I can remember.

As long as Bayside continue to hire mediocre coaches, good players from RI will pay for Mass clubs.

Especially if RI teams continue to struggle against the B teams.

I'm glad you moved on. Enjoy your experience at NEFC. Bayside is a right fit for my kids and I. What important to me is my kids are having fun and are playing against some of the top clubs in NE including your NEFC. Her coach is well connected with college coaches so if she work hard and continue to develop she will be fine. As you may or may not know, Bayside coaches now are all college coaches for the U15 and up teams. It would be funny if one day you decided to get your little Messi or Mia to a local colleges I hope these mediocre coaches remember you.

I've seen both the Bayside and NEFC coaches. NEFC coaches are so much more professional and knowledgeable.

I love it. "Bayside is the right fir for my kids. What important to me is my kids are having fun."
Then..... "one day you decide to get your little Messi or Mia to a local colleges". I thought what was important to you was you and your kid?

I'm sure local, or not local colleges, will avoid the kids who played at NEFC and bee line to Bayside FC kids.

Thank you for that information. I was unaware that NEFC coaches are more "knowledgable" than Bayside coaches. I'm just glad we have someone with your expertise on talking-soccer.

NEFC elite lost their top players and are not the team it was in previous years. They cannot replace the girls that they lost. Bayside dominated last time these teams played. NEFC scored with barely a minute left to tie the game.

I chuckle every time I see that former Bayside GU14 player out on the field now with the NEFC GU13 Elite.

Bayside was able to pick up some of the NEFC cuts though. Bayside lost a top player or 2-3 in just about every girls team this year. Some to Stars, some to NEFC Elite, some to NEFC RI/SC. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Her parents know exactly what they are doing. NEFC will open doors that Bayside simply cannot.

Nobody who is even semi-serious about soccer wants their kid playing for a Dad coached team. You think your team is different? It's not.

The biggest clowns in the game are the helicopter Dads who can't let go and continue to coach their own kids through middle school and high school. Usually they can't let go because their own kid wouldn't see the field if they weren't the coach. Usually they are self -employed (unemployed) goofballs who rely on their wives to support them.
                      Awesome post.

You are describing one of the coaches at Inspire SFC perfectly.

Absolutely. Best move they could have made for her. Good good player and great kid.
