Go look at the current revs academy rosters. There are 7 NEFC players made the teams and 5 Bayside FC players. A club with over 2,000 players vs 360 players. You do the math.

In the U14 NPL game which finished 1-1 this past fall, NEFC were lucky to come out with that draw. After NEFC scored, early in the first half Bayside dominated the game. I actually thought this NEFC team was incredibly poor for an "Elite" team after hearing so much about them.

For a club as big as NEFC you should hold yourself to a higher standard. If you going to come here a bragg about competing with the likes of Bayside FC that reflects badly on your club. Bayside FC for it size has produced some every good players and will continue to be an option for players in RI and MA want to play good soccer and for players who is not fortunate enough to make the ECNL or DAP teams. On the boys side Bayside FC produced a higher % of DAP player relative to it size than NEFC. Not bad for an inferior club.

No nefc U13 was the better team on the day for sure. But the U12 NPL game before that was a great contest ended 3-2 and was up and down action. IMO those U12 NPl girls temas are to big and athletic for 8v8 fields. None the less it was a great game.

I took the liberty of researching the last two games between BFC and nefc elite and the results are nothing to thump your chest over. Granted NEFC is stronger but not by much. FYI girls side only as I don't have all day.

I think NEFC has better results vs Scorpions Ecnl and I am sure some if that has to do with the rivalry they have. Note that I do think if the 16s and 17s played nefc would have the advantage in those games. 16s may be one of their better teams I think 17s would be a lot closer.

The commute is certainly an issue. Particularly if you live in Southern RI. As for RI kids playing in MA on nefc elite the number is very low. 19 0, 18s 1GK, 17s 1 who goes to prep school in MA, 16 1 defender, 15 1 Fwd, 14 have 2 and 13 have 2.

The one constant with all those players is they never played for Bayside FC. Once they get kids in very few leave willingly. It would be different if the results were 6-0 at every level. But it's very competitive and not worth the 6hrs of travel.

The U15 team is the perfect example. The scores are what they are. Ultimately you have to look at the full record.

U15 NEFC Elite - two regional championships, one national championship, played in the Disney first division and won. They beat the top team in Virginia and #2 in the country 3-0. They beat the top team from Nevada 9-1.

U15 Bayside just barely won state cup. They didn't win the year before. They lost in the final of one of the lowest Disney divisions to the number 3 team in Michigan.

The U15 Bayside team lost to Vermont at Regionals.

The U15 team has lost numerous times versus the NEFC B team.

Yes, the games were close in score, but the teams aren't close in level.

Some of the best RI players are playing in second and third tier Massachusetts teams, because they get better training than at Bayside.
