you can say all you want about credit for development.
Bayside feasts on city kids who don't pay a dime at Bayside and sometimes play for only a year at Bayside before going to the DAP.
Not to say the other clubs are any better, but to try and survey the situation to figure out who is going from what club is ridiculous.
To compare Bayside to NEFC is also ridiculous. The models of the two clubs are different. And can you consider Bayside Smithfield Strikers in your numbers now.
Speaking of affiliations, isn't Bayside really a part of FC Greater Boston anyway? You have to include those numbers in there too.
And, why aren't the Bayside players playing for the FC Greater Boston DAP Teams?
And, didn't Bayside get into the NEP in the first place because of FC Greater Boston?

On the boys side Bayside FC produced a higher % of DAP player relative to it size than NEFC. Not bad for an inferior club.
"Reflects badly on the club?" Should we bring out the nasty things said about the GU14 RI Strikers team that Bayside has battled for a couple years? Or any of the other hundreds of comments made by Bayside that you are the best and no one can topple you?
You guys are such a bunch of cry babies at Bayside FC. Holy Crap!
Not even affiliated with NEFC but to watch Bayside going down this road is laughable.

Nefc 6 wins 4 ties. 4 of the 6 wins were by 1 goal. Again NEFC is better but not by much. I think NEFC has better results vs Scorpions Ecnl and I am sure some if that has to do with the rivalry they have. Note that I do think if the 16s and 17s played nefc would have the advantage in those games. 16s may be one of their better teams I think 17s would be a lot closer.
U12 nefc won 3-2
U13 nefc won 5-0
U14 nefc won 2-0 and 1-1
U15 nefc won 2-1 and 2-0
U16 nefc no games
U17 nefc no games
U18 nefc won 1-0 and 0-0
U19 nefc won 2-1 and 3-3

FYI girls side only as I don't have all day.

The one constant with all those players is they never played for Bayside FC. Once they get kids in very few leave willingly. It would be different if the results were 6-0 at every level. But it's very competitive and not worth the 6hrs of travel.

I'd prefer to compare the Bayside teams to NEFC's B, C, and regional teams:
Bayside U12 - last meeting as U11's lost to NEFC Metro North 4-1
Bayside U13 - got killed by NEFC Elite and fortunately has not had to face NEFC Premier
Bayside U14 - last meeting tied NEFC Premier 1-1
Bayside U15 - last meeting with NEFC Premier lost 2-0, only beat NEFC C team 1-0
Bayside U16 - tied NEFC Premier this fall
Bayside U17 - tied NEFC United and lost to NEFC South Coast
Fact is in every age group, Bayside would be the 3rd or 4th best team if they were wearing NEFC Uniforms.
NEFC Elite teams compete at a far higher level nationally.
The U15 team is the perfect example. The scores are what they are. Ultimately you have to look at the full record.
U15 NEFC Elite - two regional championships, one national championship, played in the Disney first division and won. They beat the top team in Virginia and #2 in the country 3-0. They beat the top team from Nevada 9-1.
U15 Bayside just barely won state cup. They didn't win the year before. They lost in the final of one of the lowest Disney divisions to the number 3 team in Michigan.
The U15 Bayside team lost to Vermont at Regionals.
The U15 team has lost numerous times versus the NEFC B team.
Yes, the games were close in score, but the teams aren't close in level.
Some of the best RI players are playing in second and third tier Massachusetts teams, because they get better training than at Bayside.
