The answer to this question is far more involved, especially regarding the long term implications. Also, Boys/Girls NPL leagues have some variation. At any rate, for Bayside FC - Probably a good move. It always remains to be seen how NEP will form the league, no doubt it will go through them - introducing an NPL team division. I would imagine allowing most clubs that have that level team. And again, I would imagine the that would be Baysides #1 team in each age group...... there are probably more questions than answers when asking this question.
Maybe it will be better, maybe it won't..... time will tell. -
Of course it will be better. All part of a branding strategy commonly used in youth soccer today. DAP, ECNL, NPL are all suffixes now used to denote a strength of a team within a club. Bayside is a huge winner in all this!! The competition like Bruno, Blackwatch and NEFC South Coast and others now have nothing to brag about. Doesn't matter if you are part of the NEFC brand because a 2nd & 3rd team can't play with the big boys now. My prediction is that Tidal Wave, Bayside United, Rams FC and New England Wave all close shop, unless they merge to create a pretty good B team club. This now evens the playing field for smaller clubs like Bayside because small and big clubs can only have their top teams compete.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

If that's true, doesn't really matter anymore. NEFC SC and Blackwatch won't be playing in this new league. Only thing is it will give Blackwatch a possible entry into NEP which will be watered down anyway. Maple will just lose another average club. Some teams we used as fillers for NY NPL. This will be for top team in each club. There was talk about wild card from NEP premiership if clubs didn't have a team for that age group.
