    Ecnl

Does anyone know if there are any U14,15 or 16 players in RI rostered on the ECNL clubs in either MA or CT? Is RI looking at getting its own ECNL club?

RI will never have an ECNL club

Keep telling yourself that. Some of the clubs in ECNL are not very good.

So do you really think the northeast market could sustain another club? It already has enough. There is absolutely no need to add another. The existing clubs don't want another.

If there were to be another club added, it should be NEFC (and would be now if it weren't for politics with Stars and Scorps keeping them out). ECNL is club based and not team based, and NEFC is the only other local club big enough with enough cache to be invited in. Will only happen over the other two clubs dead bodies, but top players on NEFC will be easily found by recruiters and coaches anyway, so its really not a huge issue.

At this point I don't see any RI club being ever big enough to be invited in, unless through a merger of an existing ECNL MA club and that isn't likely either. Bayside would be closest, but still way far away from that point yet.

Every single one is better than the best club in RI. Regardless, the northeast conference is full and won't be taking on any additional clubs. Any new member will come as a result of a club being kicked out, and even if that happens, there are multiple clubs in MA/CT/NY/NJ/PA that would get in well before any RI club.

BAYSIDE 17s would smoke Scorps, Soccer+, and Albertson without doubt. But you keep telling yourself ECNL is great. Compare Stars ECNL commits vs Scorps, not all ECNL clubs are built equally.

First off, you are wrong about the U17s. The Bayside U17 team lost to the Scorpions B team in the NEP this season. They also lost 7-1 to the Stars ECNL team. You keep telling yourself the team is good.

Secondly, you are bringing up one team out of an entire club. ECNL is a club based league.

Here's an example. How would the Bayside U12 team do against Scorpions' top U12 team? See what I did there?

Didn't bayside U12G send a player to national training camp?

So you lose to Scorpion B team (AKA Galway Rovers from last year moved to Scorpions/Breakers) and lose to Stars ECNL 7-1. Stars ECNL lose to Match Fit this year 3-0 and Scorps U17 ECNL lose 3-2 to Match Fit this year.

See what I did here as well.

Yean Bayside U17s are surely concerned about winning in NEP on a Sunday, please.

Stars U17 is a real ECNL team - they have slapped around a number of ECNL clubs this year winning by 5/6 goals. We ain't questioning bonafide clubs like Stars, PDA, Penn - it's the wannabe clubs like Scorps, soccer+, and most of the southern teams pretending to be elite teams - Scorps wouldn't even make it through the seed rounds in Mass state cup.

You realize Bayside 17s have more committed players than Scorpions and SoccerMinus put together correct?

See what I did there meathead?

Yeah and the US men beat Spain once too. Doesn't make them better. Too many idiots like you judge a team based on one or two results head to head. If you've been around and a fan of soccer long enough you know that any team can beat another on any given day. It's over the course of a season or multiple seasons that teams should be judged, but the only thing you know about soccer is what you learned on the sidelines watching your kids play. I can only imagine the amount of times your kids and their friends roll their eyes when you 're talking about their soccer team or their performance in a game. Get a life loser , Scorps are a joke compared to slots ECNL clubs.

You paid $10-12,000 a year that last couple years to tote your kid around the country only to be embarrassed and watch 1 teammate land a D1 commitment to a pedestrian college.

That's much rougher than losing to Scorps B by a goal in NEP

Is holy cross a pedestrian college? My first question when I started this thread was if there are any U14 or 15 girls in RI playing ECNL. We are considering it, but not if there are no other RIers there.
